Autonomy gives the college control over its eligibility rules, selection process and admission calendar, separately from the University of Rajasthan's centralised schedule. UG selection uses Class 12 results or CUET UG scores. For PG courses, graduation marks or college entrance tests form the basis of merit.
The college explains form submission, selection, document checks and payment in its official admission procedure.
BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA and B.Sc applicants are considered on their qualifying examination results. The main requirements are:
Eligible programmes also accept CUET UG scores. The college uses board results or CUET UG performance to prepare merit lists and conduct merit-based counselling. The usual UG application window runs from May to July each year.
Most MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA and MSW programmes require at least 50% aggregate in graduation. A relevant degree is required where specified. MCA applicants must also have studied Mathematics during graduation.
Limited seats in M.Sc Cyber Security, AI and Data Science, and Forensic Science may lead to a written test or interview. MA and MSW selection begins with graduation merit and may also involve a group discussion or personal statement.
Ph.D selection involves a college or university research entrance examination, followed by an interview with the research committee. The university notification determines the entrance-test schedule. Applicants qualified in UGC-NET or CSIR-NET may be eligible for direct admission in the relevant disciplines.
Research options include Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, computer applications, business administration, accountancy, English, history and political science.
| Course group | Marks or examination considered | Selection method |
|---|---|---|
| BA / B.Com / BBA / BCA / B.Sc | Class 12 board merit / CUET UG | Counselling based on merit |
| MA / M.Com / MSW | Graduation results / college entrance examination | Merit-based selection |
| M.Sc, all disciplines | Graduation results / college entrance examination | Merit-based selection |
| MCA | Graduation merit with Mathematics / entrance examination | Merit-based selection |
| Ph.D | University / college research entrance examination | Written examination and interview |
Campus recruitment is organised by the placement cell, particularly for BBA, BCA, MCA and technical M.Sc students. Each year, about 60 percent of eligible students secure jobs through campus drives. With a large arts and science student base, the college also has many graduates who choose government services, private-sector work or further study. Their plans include CAT, UPSC and judicial services preparation.
| Placement measure | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Highest recorded annual package | INR 15.15 LPA |
| Average annual package | INR 3.25 LPA |
| Minimum annual package | INR 2 LPA |
| Share of eligible students placed through campus recruitment | 60 percent |
| Recruiting companies | Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, HCL and ICICI Bank |
LPA means lakhs per annum, or annual salary in lakhs of rupees. BCA and MCA students account for most IT-sector placements, while BBA and B.Com graduates mainly enter banking, financial services and insurance, commonly called BFSI, and retail. Computer science and data-related specialisations generally attract the highest offers.
Further study and competitive examination preparation are more common choices among arts, social work and science students than immediate campus employment. These routes include MA, M.Phil and civil services preparation.
A national NIRF College ranking and NAAC A++ accreditation place S.S. Jain Subodh among Rajasthan's higher-ranked autonomous colleges. Its accreditation also places it within a small group of privately managed colleges in India holding the A++ grade.
| Assessment year | Assessing body | Category | Rank or grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | NIRF | Colleges | Not included in the published top-200 band |
| 2024 | NIRF | Colleges in India | 81, with a score of 53.46 |
| 2024 cycle | NAAC | Accreditation | A++, with a CGPA of 3.60 |
The college's absence from the published 2025 top-200 band may reflect either non-submission of data for that cycle or a position outside the published list. Its most recent verified numerical rank is therefore the 2024 figure.
Within the 2024 NIRF assessment, the college scored 80.83 for Outreach and Inclusivity and 72.86 for Teaching, Learning and Resources. These were areas of strong performance within its overall score of 53.46.
Separate departmental blocks for arts, commerce, science and computer applications share the college's single Jaipur campus. Central laboratories support chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology, biotechnology and computer science. The library provides both printed material and digital resources across the subjects taught.
Other facilities include seminar halls, student activity centres and a sports ground. NSS and NCC units also operate on campus. Infrastructure grants under Rajasthan's Model College initiative have supported improvements to laboratories and the development of digital classrooms.
Most students travel to college from within Jaipur. Its central location provides access to public transport, but there is no on-campus hostel. Students moving from another city must arrange private accommodation or paying guest housing.
Community outreach and representation from diverse student groups are among the academic strengths recognised in the NAAC assessment. NSS, NCC and community service cells regularly organise extension activities. These activities also made a significant contribution to the college's 80.83 Outreach and Inclusivity score in NIRF 2024.
Financial support comes through Subodh Shiksha Samiti's institutional awards as well as state and central government schemes. The scholarship coordination cell helps students apply for these benefits and prepare the required documents.
| Scholarship or scheme | Who can qualify | Support available |
|---|---|---|
| Subodh Shiksha Samiti Free Ship / Scholarship | Students from economically weaker sections, selected on merit | Full or partial fee waiver |
| Class Merit Scholarship | Students securing the highest positions in annual examinations | Fee reduction in the next academic year |
| Sports Excellence Scholarship | Students representing sports at district, state or national level | Partial tuition fee waiver |
| Merit-cum-Need Scholarship | Students with 60% or above and parental annual income below INR 2.5 Lakhs | Support according to institutional rules |
| Differently-Abled Students Scholarship | Students holding a disability certificate | Special fee concession |
| National Scholarship Portal, NSP | SC, ST, OBC and Minority students with 50% or above, subject to income requirements | Benefits according to central government rules |
| Rajasthan State Scholarship | Rajasthan domicile holders meeting the financial eligibility rules | Benefits according to state rules |
Subodh Shiksha Samiti pays institutional awards directly. Their release does not depend on the state or central scholarship calendar, allowing support earlier in the academic cycle for students who need it.

Among these options, S.S. Jain Subodh has the highest NAAC grade, the stronger NIRF position and the widest course range. Its PG choices are particularly varied in computer science, emerging technology and social work.
Government Commerce College's substantially lower government-supported fees appeal to commerce applicants with a limited budget. Kanoria offers hostel accommodation and a government-aided environment exclusively for women. Each college serves different priorities, so none leads on every comparison measure.
Ques. Which features should a B.Com applicant consider at SS Jain Subodh in Jaipur?
Ans. Students choosing a commerce college in Jaipur can consider its NAAC A++ accreditation, 81st position in NIRF 2024 and placement assistance. Alongside B.Com, the college has three B.Com Hons specialisations: Accountancy and Business Statistics, Business Administration, and Economic Administration and Financial Management. The regular B.Com programme costs INR 70,700 over 3 years. Students wishing to remain at the college for postgraduate study can consider M.Com or MCA, subject to the respective entry requirements. These features place it among Jaipur's leading B.Com choices.
Ques. Which accreditation and state recognition has SS Jain Subodh received?
Ans. In 2024, NAAC awarded the college its highest grade, A++, with a CGPA of 3.60. Relatively few privately managed autonomous colleges in India hold this grade. Rajasthan's government has also designated the institution a Model College.
Ques. What living arrangements are needed by students coming from outside Jaipur?
Ans. Students moving to Jaipur must find private housing or paying guest accommodation because S.S. Jain Subodh has no campus hostel. Most students already living in Jaipur commute to college. Public transport serves its central city location well.
Ques. What employment routes are available to SS Jain Subodh's computer application graduates?
Ans. Campus recruitment mainly connects BCA and MCA graduates with IT employers such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Amazon and HCL. The recorded highest offer is INR 15.15 LPA, while the average package is INR 3.25 LPA. MCA graduates with strong programming ability tend to receive offers of INR 4 to 6 LPA. Students also receive placement-cell assistance when applying for jobs outside campus drives and for government IT positions.
Ques. Which marks and selection rounds determine entry to SS Jain Subodh?
Ans. Class 12 results or CUET UG performance determine UG merit, with applications generally running from May to July each year. PG selection uses graduation results, although selected courses may require a college entrance examination. As an autonomous institution, the college follows its own admission calendar separately from the University of Rajasthan's centralised process. Admission does not involve a donation or capitation fee.
Ques. How much should students budget for the full BCA and MCA programmes?
Ans. The 3-year BCA costs INR 1.22 Lakhs in total, and the 2-year MCA costs INR 1.27 Lakhs. BCA's fee is competitive among NAAC A++ autonomous colleges in Jaipur. High-performing students may lower their effective cost through merit scholarships provided by Subodh Shiksha Samiti.
