What I Liked

Campus life is extremely fun very interesting and creative people , faculty’s pretty chill along with very hardworking the infrastructure is just mind blowing very calm very peaceful feels like home it is just super comfy
The events had happen in this campus are truly the best part of it be it freshers or navratri everything done here is amazing and truly enjoyable

What I didn’t like

Sometimes the work load is too much that you honestly don’t know weather you’re in college or at some job
if the fun here is 40 percent then the work is 60 they honestly provide and help you with ever But the stress part is jus too much

Placement Experience:

The average package offered to b. Des students during UID placement ranges between 8L to 12L , Which is fairly good . My plan is to finish my b. Des from here then work on the post grad thing for much better placements

Internships Opportunities:

Here the internships are integrated in the curriculum requiring the students to complete a certain number of internships hours as part of their degree , faculty members may assist you by providing guidance on application processes and interview prep

Global design at UID

What I Liked

Very good exposure to the industry and the experience of global design programme was the best thing that happened to me, ever. We got to travel three different countries while completing college. And UID made it really convenient with all the bookings and processes handles for us.
Campus life is fun. Its never boring. Something or the other just keeps happening.

What I didn’t like

Management just doesn’t listen to you. Any issues ypu have, no actions will be taken after any amount of complaints. Communication is always last moment. Exams are not managed properly which leads to a few ppl failing just because they didn’t even get the chamce to write exams due to bad management
Extra charges will be put on you which don’t even make sense for you to pay at all but regardless of everything you’ll have to keep paying random amount of money they levy on you

Placement Experience:

Placements are very bad. Throughout our last semester, my batch was not given the chance for placements. There was no communication from the college even after we asked them a hundred times. After college ended, we have been sent a few mails with very bad paying job opportunities. Average package offered in these mails was around 25k per month

Internships Opportunities:

We were supposed to look for internships on our own but it was a compulsory 3 month internship in 3rd year ending. Roles offered under internships depend on the field of design we studying. We were supposed to do projects under lead designers from the industry and we were also supposed to complete minimum one deaign project under them as team head or individually. Average stipend was 10-15k

What I Liked

Faculty, Infrastructure, campus life. Activities and events

What I didn’t like

Washrooms need to be replaced as they are not clean or hygienic

Placement Experience:

The placement cell for my department is not that great but our faculties make sure that we get enough and more opportunities using their contacts in the industry, 95% of students from my batch have gotten their internship through faculties.

Internships Opportunities:

I outsourced my internship from LinkedIn with a company that works with AI based fashion called Streamoid. Few mentionable internships that students have secured through the placement cell include bodice, advait etc.

Placement Experience:

If you fail in any exams and have backlogs after the 7th semester, you're not allowed to complete the graduation project in the 8th sem, and the degree is withheld until you clear the backlog, majority of the people get placed/recruited and various studios and OEMs visit the campus for recruitments. Personally, I want to target oems and work for a brand in production

What I Liked

amazing resort like campus. loving faculty
good mess food easygoing. good curriculum

What I didn’t like

umm there’s frankly nothing to dealing about the campus.
i love the campus i love my college. blessed

Placement Experience:

I’m in first year so I’ve no idea about it. but as far as I’ve heard from my seniors, placements are pretty nice for a design field. a lot of good companies come and recruit children and so many have offers with good salary

Internships Opportunities:

no, I’ve not yet applied for any internship cause I'm in my first year and I want to explore more of my subjects before I apply for an internship. I want to first know what I I'm good at. which I'm sure my college will help me out with.

What I Liked

I love the campus, infrastructure and the life around the college ..
Faculty is very helpful and will give you ideas for your work how you can improve,

What I didn’t like

That it is located in Gujarat and in march April month it becomes unbearable to work outside.
No. Of Faculties needs to be increased and non uid pass outs should be called as a faculty .

Placement Experience:

They don’t provide that much to us we should find an internship from your side. College does provide us internships but they are not that great and they give just 15k for that. So they should improve that.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I haven’t but I’m thinking of doing it in my summer breaks so that it’ll give me exposure to the market and the function of the market. It’s better to start doing an internship from your first year and build your portfolio from the start

What I Liked

The greenery and grass. It’s full of trees and plants
The events that take place here are amazing

What I didn’t like

They could keep the buildings more neater
The mess food throwing system is very bad and messy

didn’t hear much about the placements from college but I’d like to join a firm in Hyderabad after my degree for staff could be paid or non paid but to get an experience if good then could continue in it

Internships Opportunities:

No, I have not opted for any internship yet I have planned to opt for one in next year summer. As a summer internship after the 4th Semester. As mostly they want the interns to know basic AutoCAD to work for them

Tales of uid

What I Liked

I love the campus and infrastructure of the college. It’s really beautiful plus they maintain it really well they put proper insect spray everyday because the campus is filled with greenery . Plus it has all the basic facilities a student need
I really like the workshops at uid I don’t think any other college provide the same number of workshops. Plus the staff at the workshops are also very nice and helpful. They’ll help you with everything

What I didn’t like

I hate the fee structure of uid , before paying for the fees they are like everything is included in the fees but we have to pay for everything the stationary, software , field trips , exam fees , activity fees and including hostel the fees reaches upto 10lac per year

Placement Experience:

Placements and jobs are provided by the college to most of the students if not we have to find them on our own. But the faculty is really helpful so they” ll help you out with everything and give helpful advice according to their experience

Internships Opportunities:

No, I’ve not opted for any internship in my college cause I’m still in my first year of college but looking forward to applying from next year onwards. But the college does provide great internship opportunities to 4th year students

What I Liked

the campus is very big. considering only uid the exposure they provide is good. regarding using machinery or other devices that is good. faculties are amazing highly qualified.
hostels could be better but that the best you can get. mess is a mess. a lot of options to eat but sometimes there are hair in your roti. SOMETIMES.

What I didn’t like

MESS. the mess will serve good food only when parents come to check out the college. at other times it’s average or even below that.
hostel rules. cannot have iron hair dryer straightner kettle in the room. you will be fined.

Placement Experience:

4th year is your last year wherein your internship starts and you’ll be working there and then you have a final project related to that only. I don’t have a proper idea regarding that but a lot of students opt for jobs after completing the last year or then they join the family business or then pursue a master's immediately or then continue with the internship or freelance.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven’t opted for any internships as such but I would love to freelance at a beginner level only. you can apply to internships that are not related to the college or then just freelance or post your work on social media for recognition
