NIA Jaipur Admission Process
NIA Jaipur selects students through national-level or institute-level entrance examinations and merit, depending on the programme. Its central government status means that management quota and capitation fee seats are not available.
BAMS Admission
Applicants seeking a BAMS seat must qualify for NEET UG and then take part in centralised AYUSH counselling.
- Eligibility: Students must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum aggregate is 50% for the General category and 40% for SC, ST and OBC categories.
- Age: An applicant must be at least 17 years old on 31 December of the admission year.
- Selection: Seat allotment uses the NEET UG rank. AACCC conducts counselling for All India quota seats, while Rajasthan AYUSH counselling covers state quota seats.
For the 2025 All India quota, the General category NEET UG closing rank at NIA Jaipur was 36,132. Central government Ayurveda seats draw stronger competition than seats at state private institutions.
MD/MS Ayurveda Admission
For MD and MS Ayurveda, candidates first qualify through AIAPGET. Counselling then assigns seats in the available specialisations.
- Eligibility: Applicants need a recognised BAMS degree with at least 50% marks.
- Selection: Admission follows the AIAPGET rank and Rajasthan AYUSH PG counselling.
- The AIAPGET cutoff for General category admission at NIA Jaipur is usually above 330 marks.
Fellowship and Diploma Admission
Admission to a fellowship requires a BAMS or MD Ayurveda degree and a qualifying NIA Entrance Test score. The Diploma in Ayurveda Nursing and Pharmacy uses merit among students who have completed 10+2 Science. BAMS graduates can enter certificate courses directly when seats are available.

NIA Jaipur does not organise campus placements. Its graduates generally build careers in clinical work, research or teaching, as is common at government Ayurveda institutions.
