NIA Jaipur BAMS Admission 2026

A valid NEET UG rank is essential for BAMS admission at NIA Jaipur. The institute does not conduct another entrance examination, interview applicants, or accept college-level applications for direct seats. Its BAMS seats are among the most competitive Ayurveda seats in India.

The institute has a 260-bed NABH-certified hospital, and its outpatient department serves 1,400 patients each day. Hostel rooms for first-year students are allotted only from the second year.

NIA Jaipur BAMS Selection Process

NEET UG merit determines the selection. NIA Jaipur does not require a separate test, personal statement, or interview.

• AACCC allots the All India Quota and deemed university seats through centralised AYUSH counselling.
• If two applicants from the same category have equal scores, the higher NEET score takes priority. When their scores remain equal, the older applicant receives preference under NTA rules.
• The 2025 General category All India Quota closing rank was between 31,000 and 32,500. SC and ST applicants received seats at higher rank numbers, reaching 181000.
• For the 2024 counselling reference, General category applicants usually required a NEET score of 550 or more out of 720. The required score and rank change with competition each year.

How to Apply for BAMS at NIA Jaipur?

The complete BAMS application and allotment process takes place through the centralised counselling portals rather than through a separate NIA Jaipur application.

• Step 1: Meet the category-wise qualifying percentile in NEET UG 2026.
• Step 2: For All India Quota seats, register through aaccc.gov.in. Pay the non-refundable registration charge and refundable security deposit, then add NIA Jaipur to the choice list.
• Step 3: Take part in the applicable allotment rounds. After receiving a seat, report physically within the stated deadline with all original documents.
• Step 4: Complete document checking at NIA Jaipur and pay the first-year tuition fee of INR 42,025 to secure the admission.

Students must carry their NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, proof of date of birth, the allotment letter, and passport-size photographs. Caste, domicile, and PwD certificates are also required wherever applicable.

NIA Jaipur MD/MS Ayurveda Admission 2026

AIAPGET rank is used to admit students to MD and MS Ayurveda courses at NIA Jaipur. The course section lists 84 PG seats in 14 specialisations. All India Quota seats pass through AACCC-PG, while the Rajasthan AYUSH PG Counselling Board handles the state quota.

The available branches include Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasuti Tantra, Kaumarbhritya, and Dravyaguna, along with other subjects offered across the 14 branches.

NIA Jaipur MD/MS Ayurveda Eligibility Criteria

NCISM rules govern PG eligibility. Applicants need a recognised BAMS qualification, the required professional registration, and a completed rotating internship by the notified cut-off.

NIA Jaipur MD/MS Ayurveda Selection Process

Admission depends only on AIAPGET merit and counselling. NIA Jaipur does not hold a separate college test or interview.

• All India Quota: AACCC prepares the merit list using AIAPGET ranks. It conducts three counselling rounds and Stray Vacancy Rounds I and II. As a Deemed University, NIA Jaipur participates in AACCC-PG for 100% of its AIQ seats.
• State quota: The Rajasthan AYUSH PG Counselling Board manages these seats and gives priority to Rajasthan domicile applicants.
• 2024 closing-rank reference: General category closing ranks varied by specialisation from 149 to 3,042. Kayachikitsa and Shalya Tantra were the most competitive branches, and the most preferred specialisations generally required a rank within the top 150.

How to Apply for MD/MS Ayurveda at NIA Jaipur?

• Step 1: Secure the minimum category-wise percentile in AIAPGET 2026.
• Step 2: For All India Quota seats, complete AACCC-PG registration at aaccc.gov.in. Deposit the non-refundable registration fee of INR 30,000 during choice filling and select NIA Jaipur with the preferred specialisation.
• Step 3: Applicants seeking state quota seats must register on the Rajasthan AYUSH PG counselling portal and submit their choices within the published schedule.
• Step 4: Accept the allotment online and report to NIA Jaipur. Bring the AIAPGET scorecard, BAMS degree, internship completion certificate, and CCIM or NCISM registration certificate in original.

NIA Jaipur PhD Admission 2026

NIA Jaipur conducts its own entrance examination for the PhD programme in Ayurveda Vidyavaridhi. The 2026-27 intake has 28 seats. The institute issued the admission brochure in March, and selection includes a written test followed by an interview.

NIA Jaipur PhD Eligibility Criteria

• An MD or MS Ayurveda degree from an NCISM-recognised institution is compulsory.
• Applicants may use either the final qualifying degree or a provisional certificate.
• The application must be submitted online. Postal and other offline applications are not accepted.

NIA Jaipur PhD Selection Process

The written entrance test contains 100 multiple-choice questions and lasts 90 minutes. Its question distribution is:

• 60 questions from the chosen subject at PG level
• 25 questions covering Research Methodology and Medical Statistics
• 10 questions on general knowledge connected with AYUSH
• 5 questions on basic computers and information technology

Applicants who clear the written examination proceed to the interview stage.

How to Apply for PhD at NIA Jaipur?

• Submit the application only through nia.nic.in.
• An application sent by post or through any other offline method is rejected.
• For admission in 2027-28, check the institute website from January 2027 for the next notice. PhD applications generally open each year in March.

NIA Jaipur Scholarships 2026

NIA Jaipur students may apply for government support through the National Scholarship Portal. The available routes include category-based scholarships, income-linked concessions, and institute-level merit awards.

Government scholarship forms are available at scholarships.gov.in, and deadlines usually fall in October. NIA Jaipur also gives merit awards to university rank holders. Students may contact the institute administration office for details of college-level support.
