About the ins and outs of Katihar Medical college.

What I Liked

My college campus is away from the city noise.
It has a lush green campus of 55 acres with all the sports facilities.

What I didn’t like

All sports facilities are present in the campus. We donot need to separately go anywhere.
There are gym facilities available inside the campus. It has big gym.

Placement Experience:

There are great job opportunities after MBBS. We will get out doctor's licence from the university itself during our final year. And after that we can set up our own clinics or hospitals and also continue with a job in a hospital.

Remarks:

The fact that my college was just 100 kilometers away from my hometown. So the college being nearest to my home, I opted for Katihar medical college. There were no written tests for admission. We had to qualify our NEET exam and on the basis of that we are being admitted to the college. It has 55 acres of lush green campus.

What I Liked

college infrastructure is not very good..plus the campus is very small faculty is experienced here...and
faculties are helpful through out the year..you get a good exposure

What I didn’t like

there is nothing like campus life..there are no new year parties.. college life is little boring..but you are goingt to become a doctor so its ok
lecture timings are very long...there is no college life..

Placement Experience:

you get campus placement...you can work as tutor here after completing your mbbs and side by side you can prepare for your pg exam and then you can apply in other hospitals also. you have to complete your mbbs then you can work as tutor... as tutor you can earn 60000 and in places like you can get 80000

Remarks:

this is only affordable college in all the private colleges.. hostel here is good as compared to other medical college...you have to give neet exam and score minimum 450+ in general category to get into this college

All you need to know about katihar medical College

What I Liked

The only intriguing factor is academics and the fact that you get to become a doctor.
The hostel is comfortable air conditioned and has a good infrastructure.

What I didn’t like

There is no social engagement in college as fest and competition fequently.
Mostly, the functions happening are all academic related.

Placement Experience:

Once you are a doctor you can do JR ship or prepare for neet pg or join as a tutor in any college of your choice. 100% students are placed one or the other place . The highest you can afford as the department you choose in pg.

Remarks:

Neet UG is the sole exam. The only intriguing factor is academics and exposure. It is the best private medical college in Bihar. apart from academic, students are supposed to dress in a certain modest way while attending clinical postings to not offend the rural mentality of the patients. The patient inflow is decent.laboaratories are apt.

Review of academic oriented college

What I Liked

Faculty was very friendly here and was very supportive.

What I didn’t like

Class Hours are too much long since it is according to NMC norms.

Placement Experience:

After the internship, you can get a tutor job in pre-clinical subjects for a short duration. Also, you can apply for junior residency in college or in other colleges where you can get the job easily after giving an interview.

Remarks:

Two things made me choose this college, firstly the low fee as compared to other private medical colleges of Bihar and secondly good reputation of the college. The bad aspect of the college was that it provides holidays according to NMC norms which is very low. The admission process is not that difficult. To get admission to this college you should score good marks in the NEET UG exam.

Colleges- opportunity of life

What I Liked

The faculties are very helpful throughout our academic year. Also they personally interact with us about our performance which is best thing. Under their guidance people flourish very well
Infrastructure of the college is very much unique and interesting. As comparing to the place where it is building is quite innovative and creative. Modern technology are being used in the infrastructural development.

What I didn’t like

Campus Life is not so much intresting and fun. As syllabus is too much and having a hectic schedule drains out all our energy.
One thing also l would dislike about the college is the time and duration of classes. It take almost more than 8 hour of the day to complete one attendance. Also the criteria for minimum should be increased as it very difficult for us to achieve and Full fill it

Placement Experience:

The place and job opportunities in the college are very good. The college itself provides job opportunities for the students as many join the college after completing their course with a good amount of salary. Also, the college provides some basic facilities for the students who join as employees within the college. Eligibility criteria for placement are different in different departments. Every department has its requirements. Big companies like Metro, Fortis, Apollo, etc visit the college for recruitment. Many offers are being made by some big companies also. The average package lies around the range of 9- 12 lakh per annum. The higher packages can also reach crores if the company is big and popular depending upon the caliber and skill of the student. At least more than 90 percent of students get placement every year. Even l have some exciting and great plans after completing the degree.

Remarks:

The ranking of the college in Bihar is very good and stands at 3rd place amongst other colleges. Also, the fee structure of this college is very much less as compared to other private medical colleges. Best academics and Good Placement are some of the factors that made me pick this college ahead of others. One has to appear in a new examination to get selected in the medical colleges of India he/she has to score good marks in the examination with good rank and fill the cutoff criteria of the college to get admitted after some round of counseling procedure. Many students prepare for this exam for a whole year in different institutions to qualify for this exam. I also joined some institutes for this exam to qualify.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty are highly qualified and easily approachable and their way of teaching are excellent. About around every 2 months there are exams and If you study from the beginning now one can fail you . Nsp scholarship also available.

Remarks:

Good Academic. Easily accessible Education Loan facility available by sbi bank . Good patient flow . Best college in bihar . You have to give neet UG examination were you have to get qualifying marks and clear cutoff to get admission in kmch.
