Dream Medical College of Odisha

What I Liked

Very big campus with AIIMS plus facilities. Spacious and we'll ventilated rooms in hostels and reasonably priced goods inside campus.

What I didn’t like

More interactive sessions should be arranged as classes can get boring sometimes.

Placement Experience:

Internship of one year after completing 4 years of study in same college. It offers 45k monthly salary for one year. Students give OPSC exams for the job of Medical Officer. PG offers stipend varies according to department

Remarks:

First you have to give NEET UG exam conducted by NTA. After getting good marks in the exam you have to apply for counseling by MCI. You have full your choices of colleges and you will be assigned a college according to your marks. SCB Medical College is the top college of Odisha known for its academic excellence and high quality medical service. This helped me opt for this college without any second thought.

My SCB college

What I Liked

College campus is very good and environment around it also.
College infrastructure is so nicely done it's good for patients as well as the students studying there

What I didn’t like

The faculty some of them are good in making understand but some of others just don't make us understand the knowledge we want
Campus Life is good but the hostel is very unsatisfactory cause the toilet issue and the issue of bedding system etc.

Placement Experience:

Job opportunities are in the college because after internship some of the students can be appointed in the niramaya and if not then you can apply in many companies related to the pharmaceutical industry etc

Remarks:

Classroom is pretty good and there is 3 air conditioners in it but the hostel of pharmacy boys is not satisfactory cause there is no bedding system and problem of one toilet availability. Admission process is 12th marks Cut off is varied year to year No preparation needed

Medico's life in a nutshell

What I Liked

The infrastructure, the faculties and almost everything are perfect and top class.
Everything here is free. (Generic medicine, blood tests and many more)

What I didn’t like

2nd year hostels need to be more spacious and clean.
Mess food can be bit less costly. The non veg meals are bit costly according to quantity.

Placement Experience:

For an internship, one must pass the final year exams. In medical colleges, internship is done in the same college. The average monthly salary is around 30k-40k. Almost every student gets into an internship. After the internship, one can do the PG course and then the specialization. Or can get an MBBS degree and work as an MBBS doctor.

Remarks:

SCB medical college has been a premiere institute since many years. The faculties, the medical practice are of top notch. I got to this amazing college through the NEET exam. The cut off is around 650 out of 720 marks. Then counselling is done to get the college. I started preparing for the exam from class 11th and here I am in the top medical college of east zone.

A brief description of SCBMCH, Cuttack

What I Liked

The faculties are very friendly.they teaches us very nice.
The campus life is very nice much beyond one's expectation.

What I didn’t like

The classrooms are good but it requires more improvement.
More no of hostels should present so as to provide enough space for each student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculties are highly qualified and have a lot of experience. The teaching quality is very good and never makes us feel like bored. The whole 5-year duration costs about rs 150000. Which is much less as compared to private colleges.

Remarks:

The college is very nice. The infrastructure of this college is very good. The admission process is going on in the education department. There is one annual exam with 3 internal exams occurring. You have to score well in NEET UG to get a seat in this college.
