HLCC Ahmedabad Admission Process

HLCC Ahmedabad uses a merit-based process for its full-time science and commerce programmes. Students must register on the GCAS website, choose the college and complete the counselling and document verification stages.

Steps to Apply Through GCAS

Step 1: Open the GCAS website.

Step 2: Register with your name and date of birth exactly as printed on the HSC marksheet. You must also enter your mobile number and email address. GCAS sends the username and password to the registered mobile number and email address. Save both credentials for the full admission process.

Step 3: Sign in again with the user ID and password. The portal allows students to apply to different universities and their colleges. To select HLCC, choose Gujarat University and then H L College of Commerce (Autonomous).

Step 4.1: Enter the basic details. After filling in every field, select the save and next button.

Step 4.2: Add academic information exactly as shown on the marksheets, category certificate and other documents. A mismatch between the online details and original documents may cancel the student's right to admission in that particular round. Save the information and continue.

Step 4.3: Upload the required files. The latest photograph and signature must each be in JPG or JPEG format and no larger than 50 KB. The documents needed for the complete application must each be no larger than 200 KB.

Upload all marksheets for the qualifying examination. If the original marksheet is unavailable, a copy of the online marksheet may be used. Students may also upload the School Leaving Certificate, which is optional, and the Caste Certificate, valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, Differently Abled Certificate and EWS Certificate wherever applicable. Save the uploads and move to the next stage.

Step 4.4: Fill in preferences for the university, programme, college and medium. Applicants may select colleges under different universities and choose multiple colleges within each university from the options displayed on the portal. Select HLCC under Gujarat University, save the choices and continue.

Step 5: Check every entry before locking the form. When no further correction is needed, press the lock button and give consent to lock the details. College preferences and other information cannot be changed after this stage. Pay the stated admission process fee online through the payment gateway.

Step 6: Review the completed form before submission, as allotment is based on the information entered by the applicant. Incorrect merit details can lead to cancellation of admission. Submit the form and download a copy.

Step 7: Report to the college with the registered mobile phone, Admission Offer Letter, all original marksheets and category certificates where applicable, other original documents and their copies.

Important Application Notes

1. A student whose school is outside Gujarat must obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Gujarat University before registration. The certificate application is available through the Gujarat University fee portal.
