Gujarat Law Society University or GLS University, established in 2015 in Ahmedabad, operates as a private university under the Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2015. It was founded by the Gujarat Law Society (GLS), a prominent educational trust in Gujarat, and has received approval from the UGC and accreditation from NAAC. In GLS Ranking 2024, the IIRF placed GLS at 153 out of 160 in the overall category.

GLS University offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and research programs. Undergraduate options include integrated BBA + MBA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BDesign, BTech, and integrated BCom + MBA programs. For postgraduate students, the university provides MBA, MCom, and LLM degrees. Additionally, GLS offers a PGDCA at the diploma level and Ph.D. programs at the research level.

GLS University’s flagship course is its MBA program. To be eligible for this program, candidates must hold a graduation degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% for reserved category students). Admission is primarily based on the CMAT examination, followed by a centralized admission process conducted by the admission committee appointed by the Government of Gujarat. The GLS CMAT cutoff 2023 for the MBA program was 50 percentile for general category applicants. The total course fee for the MBA program is INR 2.69 lakhs.

GLS University also offers a Ph.D. program across various disciplines. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a Master’s or M.Phil. degree with a minimum of 55% marks. The final selection process includes the GLSU Research Aptitude Test, but candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, or CEED are exempt from this test. The total course fee for the Ph.D. program is INR 2.1 lakhs.
