PGP is the flagship 1-year Post Graduate Programme in Management at ISB. Admission is offered across Hyderabad and Mohali, with 820 students admitted each year. Applicants must submit a valid GMAT or GRE score taken at a test centre. CAT scores are not used for PGP admission.

PGP YL is a 20-month Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders. It is meant for fresh graduates and applicants with up to 2 years of work experience. This is the only ISB programme where CAT is accepted with GMAT and GRE. Applications for the Class of 2027-29 are open.

ISB PGP YL Selection Process 2027

For PGP YL, ISB studies academic performance, GMAT, GRE or CAT 2026 scores, essays and achievements outside regular coursework. Each year, scholarship support goes to up to 40% of the PGP YL class.

• Stage 1, application review: Academic results, test scores, essays and extracurricular achievements are reviewed.
• Stage 2, personal interview: Shortlisted students appear before an ISB faculty or alumni panel.
• Stage 3, final decision: The admission offer is based on the whole application and interview performance.
• ISB looks for early leadership signs, fresh thinking, innovation and the ability to solve problems differently.
• Students who apply in Round 1 by December 20, 2026 get the best access to merit scholarship consideration.

How to Apply for PGP YL at ISB?

• Submit the online form on isb.edu before Round 1 on December 20, 2026 or Round 2 on February 15, 2027.
• Add GMAT, GRE or CAT 2026 scores from test centre attempts only.
• Upload academic transcripts and complete the required essays.
• Submit proof of academic awards and extracurricular achievements.
• Arrange recommendation letters from academic or professional referees.
• Provide TOEFL or IELTS scores if the undergraduate programme was not taught in English.

ISB Executive Programmes Admission 2027

ISB offers PGP PRO, PGP MAX and PGP MFAB for working professionals and family business applicants. PGP PRO runs for 18 months and needs at least 5 years of experience. PGP MAX runs for 15 months and needs at least 10 years of experience. PGP MFAB is a 15-month programme for candidates from a family business background. GMAT and GRE are not required for these programmes.

PGP PRO, PGP MAX and PGP MFAB follow the same broad admission path: application screening, interview and final decision. Entrance test scores are not compulsory for any of these executive programmes.

ISB FPM and EFPM Admission 2027

ISB has 2 doctoral programmes. FPM is a full-time 5-year research programme with a fully funded stipend. EFPM is a blended 3-year doctoral programme for senior professionals. FPM students get a monthly stipend of INR 65,000 and a full tuition waiver.

ISB FPM Selection Process

• Stage 1, application review: Academic record, test score, statement of purpose and research interests are checked.
• Stage 2, personal interview: ISB faculty interview shortlisted applicants. Interviews for the August intake are usually held in March.
• Stage 3, offer letters: Offers are usually released in April for the August joining date.
• FPM applicants must submit 3 faculty recommendation letters.
• FPM students receive INR 65,000 per month as stipend, furnished campus accommodation and full medical insurance for the student, spouse and up to 2 children.
• If campus housing is not available, ISB gives a rent stipend of INR 25,000 per month.

ISB PGP vs IIM Ahmedabad PGP vs XLRI PGDM (BM)

ISB PGP is a 1-year management programme for experienced professionals who apply through GMAT or GRE. IIM Ahmedabad PGP and XLRI PGDM (BM) are 2-year programmes that mainly use CAT and XAT routes.

The short PGP format at ISB helps experienced applicants reduce time away from work. IIM Ahmedabad uses CAT for its 2-year PGP and admits fresh graduates. XLRI accepts XAT or GMAT for its 2-year Business Management programme. Applicants with 2 to 5 years of experience often consider all 3 institutes.

ISB Scholarships 2027

ISB offers scholarships in 9 categories. Each year, 25% of PGP students get scholarship support. PGP YL has wider coverage, with up to 40% of the class receiving aid, including full need-based waivers.

Donor-supported scholarships from Bharti Airtel Foundation, Taparia Family and Adani Group add INR 1,50,00,000 in available aid. Every PGP YL applicant is considered automatically for merit scholarships. Need-based scholarships require extra income documents. Round 1 applications give the best chance for scholarship consideration across ISB programmes.
