SMS Varanasi Admission Process 2026

The SMS Varanasi application process is completed online. Students should check eligibility, keep documents ready, fill the form correctly, pay the fee, and wait for the next admission step.

Step 1: Check eligibility

• For UG courses such as BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), and BA (Hons) Mass Communication, students must have passed 10+2 or Intermediate from a recognised board.
• For PG courses, SMS Varanasi offers MBA, MCA, and M.Com.
• For MBA, students need a graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC/ST. Final-year students can apply.
• For MCA, students must have Mathematics at the 10+2 level or graduation level with at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC/ST. Final-year students can apply.

Step 2: Keep documents and payment details ready

Before filling the online form, students should prepare these items:

• A scanned colour passport-size photograph in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format with size not more than 70 KB.
• A scanned signature of the student and the father or guardian in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format with size not more than 20 KB.
• An active email ID and mobile number, because admit cards and test alerts will be sent there.
• A payment option such as Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking to pay the application fee.
• The downloaded instruction sheet from the website for help while filling the form.

Step 3: Complete the online application form

1. Select the level, Graduate for UG or Post-Graduate for PG.
2. For UG, choose BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), or BA (Hons) Mass Communication. A separate form is needed for each extra course.

   For PG, choose MBA, MCA, or M.Com.

3. Enter the student Name exactly as written in the Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
4. Add the Correspondence Address, including street, city, state, and pin-code, and also add the Permanent Address. If both addresses are the same, tick the box.
5. Fill in parent’s email, mobile number, student date of birth, gender, category, father’s name, mother’s name, annual income, Aadhaar number, and PAN number.
6. Add education details such as board or university name, stream, year, maximum marks, obtained marks or CGPA, and division. Final-year students appearing this year should choose “APPEARING”.
7. For PG courses, mention professional experience as yes or no. If yes, add years, organisation name, and job description.
8. Upload the photograph and signature in the required format.
9. For PG courses, students who have appeared in CUET, CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, or UPSEE must enter the registration number, score, percentile, or rank.
10. Enter the captcha code shown in the image. It is case sensitive.
11. Tick the declaration after checking all details carefully.

Step 4: Pay the fee and submit the form

• The application fee for UG courses, including BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), and BA (Hons) Mass Communication, is INR 500.
• The application fee for PG courses, including MBA, MCA, and M.Com, is INR 1,000.
• Payment can be made through the online gateway using cards or net-banking. The fee is non-refundable after payment.
• After submission, students may print the filled form and fee receipt.

Step 5: Entrance test and further process

• UG applicants have to appear for an online entrance test. The test date will be announced on the website.
• After submitting the form and paying the fee, students should wait for institute instructions about the admit card, test date, and related steps.
• Students must follow any extra step announced later, such as interview, counselling, or document verification.

Step 6: Admission offer and final joining

• Students who qualify through entrance test, merit, or the required criteria will receive the admission offer.
• Selected students must finish the final steps, including course fee payment, original document verification, and orientation if required.
