SMS Varanasi Admission Process 2026

Students can complete SMS Varanasi admission in the following steps.

Step 1: Check the eligibility rules

• For UG courses such as BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons) and BA (Hons) Mass Communication, students must have passed 10+2 or Intermediate from a recognised board.
• For PG courses, SMS Varanasi offers MBA, MCA and M.Com.
• For MBA, students need a graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC/ST. Final-year students can also apply.
• For MCA, students must have Mathematics at the 10+2 level or graduation level and should have scored at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC/ST. Final-year students can apply.

Step 2: Keep documents and payment details ready

Before filling the online form, students should keep these items ready:

• A scanned colour passport-size photograph in JPEG, PNG or GIF format, with file size not more than 70 KB.
• A scanned signature of the student and the father or guardian in JPEG, PNG or GIF format, with file size not more than 20 KB.
• An active email ID and mobile number, as admit cards and test alerts will be sent there.
• A payment method such as Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking for paying the application fee.
• The instruction sheet downloaded from the website to help while filling the form.

Step 3: Complete the online application form

1. Select the level of application, either Graduate for UG or Post-Graduate for PG.
2. For UG, choose BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons) or BA (Hons) Mass Communication. A separate form is needed for each course if a student applies to more than one course.

   For PG, choose MBA, MCA or M.Com.

3. Enter the student's Name exactly as written on the Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
4. Fill the Correspondence Address, including street, city, state and pin code, and also the Permanent Address. If both are the same, tick the given box.
5. Enter the parent's email, mobile number, student's date of birth, gender, category, father's name, mother's name, annual income, Aadhaar number and PAN number.
6. Add educational details such as board or university name, stream, year, maximum marks, obtained marks or CGPA and division. Final-year students appearing in the current year should choose "APPEARING".
7. For PG courses, mention professional experience, if any. If the answer is yes, add the number of years, organisation name and job description.
8. Upload the student's photograph and signature in the required format.
9. For PG courses, students who have taken CUET, CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT or UPSEE should enter the registration number, score, percentile or rank.
10. Type the captcha code shown in the image. The code is case sensitive.
11. Tick the declaration after checking every entry in the form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the form

Step 5: Appear for the entrance test and next rounds

• For UG programmes, SMS Varanasi conducts an online entrance test. The test date will be announced on the website.

• Students must complete any extra step announced by the institute, such as interview, counselling or document verification.

Step 6: Complete the admission after selection

• Students who qualify through entrance test, merit or other stated criteria will receive the admission offer.
