Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), established in 1962 in Madurai, is one of the oldest autonomous business schools in southern India. It operates under the affiliation of Madurai Kamaraj University and has been granted autonomous status by the UGC. The institute holds a prestigious 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC. According to TSM Ranking 2024, NIRF put it at 82nd out of 125 colleges under management category.

TSM in Madurai offers PGDM and MBA programs at the postgraduate level. To be eligible, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). The selection process at TSM considers CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT or TANCET scores, along with academic records and work experience. Candidates who are shortlisted undergo a Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and a Written Ability Test. For the 2023 admissions, the CAT cutoff for both the PGDM and MBA programs was 50 percentile. The total program fees are INR 10.5 lakhs for the MBA and INR 11.5 lakhs for the PGDM.

TSM placement 2024 saw impressive outcomes. The highest international package reached INR 21.95 LPA, and the highest domestic package offered was INR 16.22 LPA. The median package stood at INR 7.5 LPA. Esteemed companies participating in the drive included Godrej, Airtel, Bluestar, Marico, ICRA, Udaan, OptiSol, Reliance Retail, and Kalycito.
