The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), which was founded on August 17, 1965, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India, is now one of the country's top schools for journalism training and research.
IIMC is the Indian Information Service (IIS) Officer Training Academy.
