CUET PG 2027 will be held on 17 days in March. The tentative exam dates are March 2 to 5, 8 to 9, 12, 15 to 19, 24 to 25 and 29 to 31, 2027. NTA has revised these dates, but the paper-wise schedule is not out yet.

CUET PG 2027 registration has not started. The information bulletin, application dates, fees and subject list are also awaited. The latest confirmed exam pattern has 75 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes and carries 300 marks.

CUET PG 2027 Overview

Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses is a national entrance exam for admission to MA, MSc, MCom, MTech, LLM, BEd and several other postgraduate programmes. The exact courses depend on the participating university.

CUET PG 2027 Important Dates

NTA changed the March 2027 exam schedule on October 26, 2026. The revised dates cover 17 exam days. A detailed paper-wise and shift-wise timetable will be released later.

The previous application cycle opened on December 14, 2025 and, after extensions, closed on January 23, 2026. This gives a tentative time window for 2027 registration, not a confirmed deadline. The revised examination calendar confirms only the exam dates.

What is CUET PG?

CUET PG gives candidates one entrance-test score that can be used for postgraduate admission at participating universities. It began in 2022 and brought many university-level entrance tests under one exam.

NTA conducts the test, issues the answer key and declares the score. It does not allot seats. After the result, candidates apply to the universities they want to join. Each university checks course eligibility, prepares its merit list and runs its own counselling.

CUET PG 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The 2027 eligibility rules are not out. In the latest confirmed cycle, candidates who had completed a bachelor's degree or were in the final year of their bachelor's course could appear for CUET PG. NTA did not set an age limit for the entrance exam.

Course and university eligibility

Universities can set their own minimum marks, required bachelor's subjects, age rules and paper-code conditions. A candidate may be allowed to take the exam but still be ineligible for a particular course. The course page of the chosen university decides the final admission condition.

Reservation, category certificates and admission benefits are also applied by the admitting university. The entrance application records the candidate's category, but the university checks the documents during admission.

CUET PG 2027 Application Form

The CUET PG 2027 application form is not available yet. Registration will take place online through the official candidate portal. The form normally asks for personal details, academic records, category information, examination-city choices and paper codes.

Candidates could select up to four paper codes in 2026. Choosing more papers did not create one combined paper. Each code had a separate test, and the fee depended on the number of papers selected. The 2027 fee and paper-code limit will be confirmed with the new bulletin.

CUET PG 2027 Exam Pattern

The 2027 pattern is awaited. The latest confirmed paper had 75 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes and a maximum score of 300. A correct answer received 4 marks, a wrong answer lost 1 mark and an unanswered question received 0 marks.

All 75 questions were not compulsory. Candidates could leave a question unanswered without losing a mark. The detailed paper structure, language rules and CBT controls are covered on the CUET PG exam pattern page.

CUET PG 2027 Syllabus and Paper Codes

CUET PG does not have one common syllabus for every candidate. The syllabus changes with the paper code. The latest list had 157 paper codes across common subjects, languages, science, humanities, higher sciences and Acharya papers.

The paper code required for admission can differ between universities even when the course names look similar. The correct choice is the paper code accepted by that university for the course. A related subject chosen on guesswork may not be accepted for admission.

CUET PG 2027 Admit Card

The admit card will be released online before each exam date. It will show the paper code, exam date, shift, reporting time and test-centre address. The city intimation slip only tells the exam city and is not a replacement for the admit card.

NTA may release admit cards in phases when the exam runs on several days. The CUET PG admit card page will carry the download link and date-wise updates after release.

CUET PG 2027 Answer Key and Result

NTA first releases a provisional answer key with recorded responses and question papers. Candidates can challenge the provisional key during the allowed period by paying the stated fee. Subject experts review the challenges before NTA prepares the final answer key.

The result is based on the final key. The scorecard shows the candidate's marks and exam details, but it is not an admission letter. The answer key page and result page cover these stages separately.

CUET PG 2027 Cutoff and Counselling

There is no single CUET PG cutoff for every university and course. Each university decides its cutoff after considering the number of applicants, available seats, category and course demand. A score that is enough for one course may not meet the cutoff for another.

NTA does not conduct common CUET PG counselling. Participating universities open separate admission forms, publish merit lists and allot seats. Candidates may need to register again on each university's admission portal, pay a separate fee and submit their scorecard and academic documents.

CUET PG Participating Universities

CUET PG 2026 had 198 participating institutions. The list included central universities, state government universities, other government institutions and private or deemed universities. The 2027 list can change when new universities join or individual institutions revise their courses.
