CUET PG 2027 cutoffs are not out. NTA will release the exam result, while each participating university will publish its own admission list for every programme, category and round. There is no single cutoff that applies to all CUET PG universities.

The 2026 records show why one expected score cannot answer every admission question. In Round 1, the UR score for MA Economics was 253 at the University of Delhi's Department of Economics and 226 at Banaras Hindu University's Department of Economics. The programme, university, category and admission round all change the cutoff.

CUET PG Cutoff 2027

The CUET PG 2027 admission cutoffs will come after the result and university registration. The exact dates are not announced. The tentative periods below are based on the completed 2026 admission cycle.

CUET PG Score, Merit List and Admission Cutoff

The NTA score and the university cutoff are linked, but they are not the same thing. NTA conducts the test and releases the score. A university checks programme eligibility, category, seats and preferences before preparing its admission list.

A score of 200 can be above the cutoff for one programme and below it for another. It can also lead to different results at two universities. The correct comparison is always the same programme, category, eligibility group and round.

CUET PG Cutoff for DU

Delhi University publishes minimum allocation scores after applicants complete CSAS PG registration and submit programme preferences. The score can differ by programme, department or college, category, C1/C2 group and round.

As per the official 2026 Round 1 score list, the following UR scores applied to C1 applicants at the named departments.

These are historical Round 1 scores, not 2027 predictions. DU's full list contains separate rows for departments, colleges, categories and eligibility groups, so a single course name can have several valid scores.

CUET PG Cutoff for BHU

BHU also releases separate cutoffs by programme, department, category and round. Its 2026 portal identifies C1 as BHU quota and C2 as non-BHU quota.

The comparison uses the same programme, C1, UR category and the named university department. The bars use a 300-mark scale.

CUET PG Cutoff for JNU

JNU merit cannot always be read as the raw CUET score alone. For the 2026-27 session, JNU used the CUET PG CBT score and added deprivation points for eligible applicants. Students also had to submit a separate JNU application after the CUET PG result.

In 2026, JNU broke a tie by comparing the CBT score first, followed by marks in the qualifying degree, Class 12 and Class 10. The JNU PG prospectus explains the rule. The 2027 prospectus will confirm whether it continues.

Factors Affecting CUET PG Cutoff

CUET PG cutoffs change because the admission pool is different for every programme and university. The main factors are:

• Programme demand: popular programmes can close at higher scores when many high-scoring applicants choose them.
• Available seats: a programme with fewer seats can have a different cutoff even when the entrance paper is the same.
• Category and quota: UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD and university-specific groups have separate rows where the rules provide for them.
• Course eligibility: the score matters only when the applicant also meets the degree, subject and test-paper requirements for that programme.
• Preferences and admission round: upgrades, withdrawals and accepted seats change the vacancies available in the next list.

The difficulty of the CUET PG paper can affect the overall score distribution, but it does not create one common university cutoff. Admission still depends on the programme-specific list.

CUET PG Cutoff in Later Rounds

A later-round cutoff may fall when seats remain vacant, but this is not guaranteed. A programme can close after Round 1, reopen with very few seats or show a different category score after upgrades. BHU's 2026 portal carried four regular rounds and later spot rounds, while each university followed its own schedule.

1. Open the official admission website of the university where the application was submitted.
2. Select the PG admission or CUET PG admission section for 2027.
3. Open the merit list, allocation list or cutoff for the correct round.
4. Match the programme, department or college, category and C1/C2 group shown in the list.
5. Complete the university's next step within the stated deadline if a seat is offered.
