ANUCDE Admission Process

Admission is completed online through the ANUCDE portal. Merit in the previous qualifying examination is used for most UG and PG programmes, while MBA and MCA applicants must qualify through the specified entrance route.

  1. Check the qualification and subject requirements for the chosen programme.
  2. Complete the online form at anucde.info and select a Learner Support Centre during registration.
  3. Take the relevant ANU entrance test or AUCET if applying for MBA or MCA. M.Sc admission may use undergraduate merit or an AUCET score.
  4. Upload the required records and complete fee payment.
  5. After enrollment, ANUCDE issues the Student ID and study material. Original documents may need to be checked in person.

UG Admission for B.Com, BBA and B.Lib.I.Sc

BBA and B.Com applicants need a 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board. B.Lib.I.Sc requires a recognised Bachelor's degree. Standard UG courses do not have an entrance examination.

  • Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent for BBA and B.Com; any recognised Bachelor's degree for B.Lib.I.Sc
  • Minimum marks: 45% aggregate in the qualifying examination, reduced to 35% for SC/ST applicants
  • Procedure: Apply online, choose an LSC, pay the fee and receive the Student ID and study material

PG Admission for MA, M.Com, MSW, M.Lib.I.Sc and M.Sc

Entry to Arts, Commerce, Science and Social Work postgraduate courses is based on merit. Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, and an M.Sc course may require previous study in the corresponding subject. ANUCDE processes applications centrally, while students choose their LSC during enrollment.

MBA and MCA Admission

Applicants for MBA or MCA must qualify through AUCET, the ANU Common Entrance Test, or the relevant ANU Distance Education entrance test. Any Bachelor's degree is accepted for MBA. MCA applicants need a Bachelor's degree with Mathematics at the qualifying level. The entrance-test rank and academic merit determine admission.

ANUCDE Career Outcomes

ANUCDE does not organise campus recruitment drives. Its ODL courses mainly serve employed learners, working professionals and students who cannot join a regular full-time programme. Subject to the relevant eligibility rules, graduates may use their qualifications for higher studies, government recruitment and private-sector employment at par with regular-mode graduates under UGC regulations and NEP 2020 norms.

ProgrammeCommon Career Pathway
BBA / B.ComBanking, accountancy, retail, government administrative posts and further study through CA or MBA
MA in Political Science / History / EconomicsTeaching, research, preparation for civil services and administrative work in government

ANUCDE qualifications can be used for national and state recruitment examinations such as SSC, APPSC and UPSC. Applicants should still read each job notification carefully because some posts specifically ask for a regular-mode degree.

ANUCDE Scholarships

Eligible enrolled learners can seek support through national and Andhra Pradesh scholarship programmes. ANUCDE is registered with the National Scholarship Portal and processes applications submitted by qualifying students.

SC, ST and BC learners from Andhra Pradesh should use the official ePass AP portal to apply for state scholarships within the prescribed period at the start of each academic year. Government notifications decide whether a particular scholarship applies to distance education students, so applicants should confirm the current rules before submitting a form.

ANUCDE Learner Support Centres and Study Mode

Students can receive local academic help through 197 Learner Support Centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana without moving to Guntur. An LSC provides study materials, conducts personal contact programme sessions on weekends and holidays, and functions as an examination centre.

Printed learning material is prepared by ANUCDE and mailed to enrolled students for every programme. The ANU online portal increasingly adds digital resources. Designated LSCs and examination centres hold term-end examinations twice each year. Hall tickets, results and re-evaluation requests are available through the ANUCDE portal.

ANUCDE's administrative offices are located on the main ANU campus at Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur. Students generally need to visit in person only for original-document checks or specific course requirements, including MBA practical components. The campus contains the ANUCDE administrative block, examination cell and publication division.

ANUCDE vs AU DDE vs BRAOU

Students in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana commonly consider ANUCDE alongside the Andhra University Directorate of Distance Education (AU DDE) and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU). These three UGC-DEB recognised institutions account for a major share of ODL enrollment in the two states.

AU DDE draws students from coastal Andhra Pradesh because of Andhra University's older standing and regional reach. BRAOU mainly serves Telangana learners through the separate support and examination structure of a dedicated open university. Each institution follows UGC-DEB requirements, and its degrees are valid for government recruitment purposes.
