The total fee for any four-year BE or B.Tech programme is INR 8,00,000, regardless of the chosen branch. ME costs INR 50,000 per year and INR 1,00,000 in total, while the two-year MBA fee is INR 1,40,000. BE CSE, BE ECE, B.Tech AI and Data Science, and B.Tech CSBS are among the high-demand options.

Adding hostel accommodation of INR 80,000 per year takes the full four-year BE or B.Tech cost to INR 11,20,000.

KRCE Admission Process

KRCE does not conduct its own entrance examination. Undergraduate seats are filled through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, while postgraduate applicants use Anna University’s centralised PG counselling process. For the 2026-27 session, BE and B.Tech admission was based on TNEA 2026. The college code used during TNEA choice filling is 3830.

BE and B.Tech Admission

For government quota admission, applicants must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They need at least 60% aggregate in PCM and 50% in English in either Class 10 or Class 12. The minimum PCM requirement for SC and ST applicants is 55%.

TNEA converts subject marks into a score out of 200 using this formula: Mathematics + ½ Physics + ½ Chemistry. CSE and ECE cutoffs at KRCE generally exceed 180 out of 200. AI and Data Science and CSBS usually have slightly lower cutoffs, which makes them alternatives for students who narrowly miss CSE or ECE.

  1. Eligible students register through TNEA and submit their academic information and required documents.
  2. Government quota applicants take part in online centralised counselling, rank their branch choices and receive allotment letters electronically.
  3. Students seeking management quota seats contact KRCE directly and submit their Class 12 mark sheet. A minimum of 60% in PCM is required.
  4. Applicants from outside Tamil Nadu compete under the TNEA Open Category and cannot claim Tamil Nadu community reservation benefits.
  5. Allotted students complete document verification and pay the required college fee to confirm admission.

ME Admission

ME applicants need a relevant BE or B.Tech degree with at least 50% marks. They must hold a valid TANCET or GATE score and participate in Anna University PG centralised counselling. The four choices at KRCE are Communication Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, Engineering Design, and Power Systems Engineering.

MBA Admission

Students applying for the MBA must have a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum aggregate of 50%. KRCE accepts TANCET, CAT and CMAT scores, and admission is completed through Anna University PG counselling.

KRCE Placements

During the 2025 placement season, KRCE placed 498 of 544 graduating students. This equals a placement rate of 91.5%. The highest offer reached INR 10 LPA, while the median CTC was INR 5 LPA.
