The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu has released the TNEA 2025 Round 1 allotment list on July 17, 2025. Candidates can access and download their provisional allotment through the login portal on the official website – tneaonline.org.
Shortlisted candidates must confirm their allotment by July 18, 2025 (5 PM).
Those who accept the seat will receive their provisional allotment letters on July 19, and must report to the allotted institutions between July 19 and July 23, 2025.
The TNEA Rank List 2025 has been released by DoTE on 27 June 2025 on the official website for the different categories. In TNEA 2025, a total of 3,01,026 registrations have been seen out of which 2,41,641 candidates were allotted ranks based on their normalized Class 12 marks, with 144 students scoring a perfect 200 out of 200.
The TNEA Counselling process will start from 14 July to 19 August 2025 in multiple phases, followed by supplementary and SCA to SC rounds up to August 26.
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 serves as the centralized counseling process for admissions into undergraduate engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech) in Tamil Nadu. Unlike many other states, TNEA does not require a separate entrance exam; admissions are based entirely on candidates' Class 12 marks.
Organized by DoTE, Tamil Nadu, TNEA facilitates admission into government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges across the state for eligible students.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions is an online counselling process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu for admission into various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria and whose names are listed in the merit list will be invited for counselling. There are three types of counselling: Special, vocational, and general.
Special counselling is for candidates in the sports quota, children of ex-servicemen quota, and differently-abled quota. General counselling is for candidates in the general category, including those in the routine quota.
Eligible candidates can go to the official website to fill out the application form. On the homepage, Click the ‘User Registration’ link to be redirected to the online application page. Fill out the application form with your name, email id, contact details, etc and you will receive an email holding a link for confirmation of registration.
After registration is done, log in again using your registered email ID and password. Fill out the required information in the Application form carefully and submit it.
Note - Download the application form for future reference and keep the login ID and password generated post-registration.
Candidates can submit their application fees using a Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking etc. Note that, once paid, the application fee will be non-refundable under any circumstances.

The Rank List for 2025 is published online. Candidates can access the rank list by entering their login credentials. The authority will prepare the merit list based on the candidates' marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks will be included in the rank list and will be invited to participate in counselling for admission to various affiliated institutes.
The cutoff will be published online and will include the minimum passing marks required for admission. It will be based on the number of applicants, seat availability, and performance in the qualifying exam.
