TNEA 2024 registration is an online process. To register for TNEA 2024, enter your name, mobile number, email, date of birth, passing status, qualifying exam, and password. After the registration, fill out the TNEA application form and pay the registration fee online via Credit card/ Debit card/net banking/ UPI/ Demand Draft. Registered candidates get the opportunity to use the reservations and scholarship benefits. 

To meet the TNEA eligibility criteria, you must be a resident of Tamil Nadu. You must pass Class 10+2 from any board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% if you are a reserved category candidate). You must study Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the 10+2 level.

TNEA 2024 Registration: How to Register?

TNEA 2024 registration is open now. For admission to B.Tech/B.E. courses, you must register under the Single Window Admission System (TNEA).

Step 1: Online TNEA 2024 Registration

  • Visit the official website.
  • Go to the link that says “Click here for B.E./B.Tech Registration”.
  • Enter the necessary details: name, mobile number, email, date of birth, passing status, qualifying exam, and create a password.
  • Then “SAVE” the information.
  • You will get an OTP in your registered mobile number and email.
  • Enter the OTP and “SUBMIT” it. 
  • Take note of the password and application number for further login. 

Step 2: Fill out TNEA Application Form 2024

  • Once you are registered, you will be redirected to the TNEA user login.
  • Log in with your new User ID/ Email ID and password.
  • Click “Save and Continue”.
  • Enter all necessary details as listed below:
    • Personal information- name, civic status, date of birth, gender, mother tongue, nationality, nativity, religion, community, caste, Aadhaar Number (optional), parent’s name, address, state, district, taluk, Pincode, and native district.
    • Special Reservation details.
    • Scholarship details.
    • School of Study Information
    • Academic information
  • “Save and Continue” after every step.
  • Check the Preview of the TNEA application form.
  • Once all the information is correct, click on “Continue to Pay”.

Step 3: Pay the TNEA 2024 Registration Fee

    • Choose the payment method to pay TNEA registration fee. 
    • You can use Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Demand Draft in favor of “The Secretary, TNEA” payable at Chennai.

Step 4: Print the TNEA Application Fee

  • After the registration process is over, you can take a printout of the TNEA application form 2024 for further process.
  • TNEA Application Processing System also gets the PDF document after submitting the application form.
  • Click on “Download Now”.

NOTE: You cannot edit the TNEA application form after the payment is complete.

Scanned Document to be Uploaded

After the TNEA registration, the certificate upload portal will be enabled. You must upload scanned copies of all necessary documents, your recent photo, and your signature. The upload specifications are given below.

After all the documents are uploaded to your satisfaction, click on “Freeze Upload”. After this, you cannot make changes to the documents.

TNEA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for TNEA 2024, you must complete the TNEA application form before the deadline. You can only make changes before June 6, 2024. Note the following TNEA eligibility criteria to know if you can sit for TNEA 2024 counselling:

Ques. How are candidates shortlisted for TNEA 2024 counselling?

Ans: Candidates are selected for TNEA 2024 counselling process based on their marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the 10+2 level exams. The marks is reduced to 200 for the three compulsory subjects - 100 marks from Mathematics, and 50 marks each from Physics and Chemistry.
