Review of St. Mary's College - Thoothukudi

What I Liked

I like the professors personally. They are very knowledgeable. They extend help personally and academically.
I was the vice president of English literary Association. The knowledge, experience I got from the position is a lot. From hosting, organizing, addressing the guest, doing MC- many leadership qualities have developed. I was also a chief editor of my college magazine and class representative as well. I have juggled many roles in my college days. The college develop many organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills. Thanking the college for building my confidence.

What I didn’t like

I feel the college can allow phones. It is also a useful tool to study and communicate with parents incase of emergency.
The college can be a little bit lenient. The college functions till evening. I feel the timing can be adjusted.

Placement Experience:

The college conducts placement opportunities only once a year. The companies are also limited. Since the degree and knowledge from the college is very deep. It's helpful to get job with the acquired degree. The students selected for the placements are relatively less.

Internships Opportunities:

We can apply for internships. The college encourages the internships, workshops. I have done internship as a content writer and social media manager in a fashion company. The internships gives the stipend of Rs. 500 per week. The internships experience is very helpful.

What I Liked

I really love the faculty in our college this always been supportive towards me when it comes to both academic and personal life they are very friendly always be up to the mark to help you with anything they are very well educated.
The social life in our colleges amazing because of the people and faculty everyone is very sweet and nice . you have many club which give you so many opportunities to be in a social group learn more things learn have to communication make more friends and go on

What I didn’t like

Our college is small compared to other BBA colleges but considering how this is the college and not a University it is okay. It is a little congested but it is nice because the classrooms are good spacious.
You don't have any much events like concerts and all but we do have any events which are important for your academic life and performance growth but other than that like other universities like gitam you wont have those big events.

Placement Experience:

I haven't reached till the placement stage of my college life but my seniors had a good experience with placements when it comes to internships I have gotten many opportunities to do internships even in the first and second year my teachers also send anything they get with also college.

Internships Opportunities:

I got many opportunities from our college for internship but I have only done 1. Never almost a hundred people have dead internships and this type not only that we have gained so much knowledge that is very practical in a field.
