Established in 2002, IIRM Hyderabad is an AICTE approved and IRDAI recognised public institute. The institute offers Management courses full-time, as well as in distance learning mode. Outlook has ranked the institute at 17 for 2005, in the Management Stream.

IIRM Hyderabad PGDM Program is two-years long, and is offered with dual specialisation in the following disciplines: Advanced Marketing, Finance, Operations Management, HRM, Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, and Data Science and Analytics. The course commences in July each year. Students can apply in online and offline mode, both.
Graduates, along with CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/GMAT rank holders are eligible to apply. Candidates who have not appeared for the National Level Management Aptitude Tests can appear for the IIRM Common Entrance Test, held by the institute. Selection is done on the basis of these scores and a personal interview. The total fees for this program is Rs 9.50 Lakhs.

Modern classrooms, conference halls, auditoriums, learning resource centre, IT lab, language lab, seminar hall, hostels, canteen, sports facilities, medical centre and a laundromat are some of the facilities present on-campus at IIRM Hyderabad.

In 2024, 98% was the placement percentage at IIRM Hyderabad Placement Drive, which is still ongoing. Out of 107 students, 104 have been placed. INR 15.40 LPA is the highest CTC that has been offered so far. The average CTC has been recorded at INR 8.39 LPA. Some of the top recruiters for 2024 have been Deloitte, IBM, Wells Fargo, Accenture, Marsh and IFFCO-TOKIO.
