Summary Review of The Heritage Academy [THA]

What I Liked

Food in canteens, spacious clg campus, setting canteen area, small playgrounds for badminton players and large for football or cricket players, hostels are within the campus.
Faculties, events held every year for all the departments. For media science departments we have ad adda, flim day, jouroscope.

What I didn’t like

For visiting faculties/professors the classes takes upto 3 hours after 3pm.
The toilets are not so clean. In some of the bathrooms the main door doesn't get close tightly.

Placement Experience:

Yes clg placements and internships they give. For example: Svf, wow momo, jugals,mirchi etc. My classmates and seniors got into and have worked for many months. And one of our seniors got placements also in Svfs and wow momo.

Remarks:

I had only one to one interview with Dean. After admission we had one online examination. The procedure: first go to clg, meet with admin room members, they will give you a admission form and after interview with Dean ma'am. After that 40k for the half admission. After few days one online examination will held after that pay 16k.

College Review

What I Liked

Very big campus and it is split into various buildings

What I didn’t like

The college should host more festa and should be more open

Placements are good at varies from students to student. It also have to keep doing an internship and gain work experience. Only that will make your placement look good and apart from that they are decent. The colleges are good. It has many different buildings for different purposes like engineering, BCA,BBA,BMS and other management studies. The campus is very good. It also has a field for playing football cricket and also a separate basketball court which shares with the schools Facility. The faculty are very good and some of them are very well equipped. Some of them are also pursuing their PhD and experience

No fest takes place throughout the course

Faculties are really very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. they try to help us in every scenarios Except exam times..subjects are really helpful for jobs search and futuristic. hoping to get a good placement

The Heritage Academy: Is it worth it?

What I Liked

The campus life is really good. We have a huge number of events and makes us work as a team.
Faculty is really experienced and engaging. Few of them do inculcate boring lectures but the rest are really good.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure can be better. Air conditioned classrooms should be included for the curriculum.
Attendance: There is no fixed attendance requirement.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria is not discussed. Placements are average. Top recruiters include SVF productions. They came in our college and held a placement drive and made quite a few offers. We had a Google classroom where faculty posted and gave insights about job openings and roles.

Remarks:

The campus life is really amazing and the faculty is really experienced and friendly. That made me choose this college. I appeared for the Common Entrance Test(CET) and an interview was conducted for my admission.

WELCOME TO THE HERITAGE ACADEMY

What I Liked

Huge campus with many fields and open areas.
Classes were spacious and did not feel overcrowded even with 50 students per class.
Canteen food is very nice and has a lot of variety.

What I didn’t like

The college is situated in a location where there is nothing outside, Just fields on all side.
Teachers are usually absent and dont take classes regularly. They dont inform beforehand and we only get to know after we reach the college
Studied for 3 years, still didnt get our ID cards.

Placement Experience:

Placements are the best for BCA students under my college but we did not get good placements. Mostly were unknown companies that had no backgrounds. Most placements offered were for internships and I myself had the opportunity to enroll into an internship provided by Edwise Int. In association with my college.

Remarks:

My main criterias for finding my perfect college were 1. Big campus with open grounds 2. Good faculty 3. A Canteen with a variety of foods 4. Proper parking space as i travelled by 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers 5. College should be under MAKAUT This college managed to tick all of the above while being the cheapest among other private colleges that have the same. For admission, CET, or Common Entrance Test, conducted by MAKAUT is required to be selected by the college. I dont know much about the cut off system, but I guess you'd have to be in the top 1000 to be selected by the college as this was the situation for me.

What I Liked

The faculty members here are very co-operative with the students.
Beside all the internals, regular assessments are taken.

What I didn’t like

The location of the college is quite difficult to reach.
The computers in the lab are not at all updated.

Placement Experience:

They offer guidance for both higher studies and placements. Students are given special training and workshops for placements industrial training and internships for their projects by the college itself. The rate of placement is quite good here with a good average salary package.

Remarks:

The faculty in this college is quite good and helpful. Proper notes and regular tests are taken. Mainly, the placement rates here are quite high with a good amount of salary. Also other than studies, the college arranges other curriculums and clubs. No GD/PI or any type of entrance exam for admission. Admission is +2 scores.

Good choice for BCA

Faculty, friends, campus life, labs, program ls

Placement Experience:

It provides good placement opportunities. A company like TCS, Deloitte, Capgemini, and SAP labs come to hire students. Due to the recession, our placement was not good. Companies generally provide 3-5 lakh per annum.

Remarks:

I appeared in the CET exam and was selected for this college. In CET I gave it as one of the preferred colleges. The CET exam is mainly based on quantitive aptitude, reasoning, and gk. It provides rank. Based on that college gets selected.

BBA in The heritage academy

What I Liked

I really liked the campus and college infrastructure
The faculty is very cooperative here and they try to help you throughout your college but everyone is not same.

What I didn’t like

The area where the College is located in is known to be in Kolkata but it is in a place like a village which is very less developed and there is no happening after 7pm
The faculty is very limited and the same teachers keep rotating for the 3 years

Placement Experience:

Btech had a good placement and internship record but BBA didn't have any placement more than 1.4 lakh p.a. Third party internships were available but none from the college itself.My plan after this is to pursue MBA for which I'm preparing currently.

Remarks:

I choose this college because it had a decent reputation and placement records in Kolkata.For getting admission in BBA, I had cleared the WBCET examination which was held online and it was easy though!

Campus placement is hundred percent available and people will sit for placement in the middle of the fifth semester it goes really well and internships are also available but it is comparatively less as compared to placement

This college has better opportunities in terms of placements and also the faculties are good and the placement opportunities are really good internships are also very good and the seniors are welcoming

My College Heritage

What I Liked

The college has lots of facilities like smart classrooms with projectors, etc.
The college also provides you a chance to learn new sports and also hosts a sports day every year with different types of games.
The college also has a parking facility for both students and teachers which i like the most.

What I didn’t like

The canteen food is really expensive in our college.
The benches are not so clean and tidy in the college
The classrooms are not air conditioned and during summer it's really difficult to attend classes because of the heat.

Placement Experience:

A student must keep an average sgpa of 6.5 to sit for the placement cell interviews. The placement cell of our college is the best part of the college where you get to see top IT companies and foreign companies too. The minimum package for a BBA student is 3LPA and max 12LPA.

Remarks:

This college provides a 100% placement guarantee which made me choose this college and also it has a big campus. If you want to take admission in the college you need to take an entrance test and based on that you'll be eligible for admission and that exam will be held online.
