If I have to write good things about my college it will take me a day to write it some of the main good things and aspects are our college faculty,college discipline, college environment, participating in events like sports and all the college is good in all aspects but one thing is there like they are not punctual like exam timing and all.Addmission process is simple just a small interview and showing some old class certifications of class 10th and 12 th you should have above 50% marks in your 12 th exam.

Kashmir Government Polytechnic came into existence in the year 1958 and was temporarily functioning in the barracks of Naseem Bagh, Kashmir University campus, initially training in three disciplines viz. Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. In the year 1962, the institute was shifted to the present campus at Gogjibagh. The institute was temporarily closed in the year 1969-70 due to some reasons and was later revived in the year 1972. The discipline of automobile engineering was added on the revival of the institute.
