The institute has published the revised eligibility criteria as FDDI has cancelled the All India Selection Test (AIST).

The newly revised criteria are based on the scores of the candidate in their 10+2. Below are given the details of the same.

FDDI Chhindwara: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 and can be from any discipline.
  • Candidates are also eligible if they have an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved diploma.

FDDI Chhindwara: Selection Criteria

  • The aggregate percentage scored by the candidate in their 10+2 will be taken into consideration.
  • A rank will be assigned to the candidate. Ranks are of four types, namely, General, Reserved, EWS, and PH.
  • Suppose two candidates have the same aggregate percentage. In that case, the older candidate (based on the date of birth) will get the higher rank.
  • The institute will prepare a merit list, and seats will be allocated based on the choice, of course, seat availability, and merit in the counselling session.
  • Counselling will be held online, and eligible candidates securing the cut off can participate.

FDDI Chhindwara: Application Process

  • The first step is to fill up the application form and providing the correct information regarding past academic based on which screening will be done.
  • The candidate should upload the photograph and signature.
  • A non-refundable fee of Rs 600 as an application fee should be paid online for general candidates and Rs 300 for SC/ST and PWD categories.
  • Verify and after downloading the application form, print it.

  • Next, the candidates will upload the document and only after that they can choose their courses and campus. For UG programmes, the institute has made it mandatory for candidates to fill at least 10 choices in decreasing order of preference.
  • Rs 10,000 as Registration Fee and Rs 15,000 as advance fee needed for participation in online counselling. (The advance fee is refundable if the candidate is unhappy and rejects their allocated seat).

Q. What is the process of refund in case of cancellation of admission?

Answer: If the candidate cancels their admission before the commencement of classes, then as per the institute's policy, only 50% of the tuition fee is refunded along with the security deposit. However, if the candidate initiates the cancellation after the classes have commenced, only the security fee is refunded.

Q. How many campuses of FDDI are there, and where are they located?

Answer: The Footwear Design and Development Institute has campuses across India offering a range of courses from B. Des, M. Des to MBA. In eastern India, it has campuses in Kolkata and Patna. Answer: 10% of the seats are reserved for NRI or Industry Sponsored or International candidates. They must meet the general eligibility criteria and will be selected after an interview. However, the fee structure for these candidates is different as they have to pay double the ordinary tuition fees for the Noida and Hyderabad campuses and 50% more than the general tuition fees for all other campuses.

Answer: Fully furnished hostel rooms are available separately for boys and girls and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Amenities like Games Room, TV room, and the Common Room comes with hostel facilities. Currently, the hostels can accommodate 175 boys and 125 girls.
