What I Liked

Dhemaji Polytechnic organises various events like General Freshers, College Election, College Week and General Farewell for the students to participate and enjoy in between the studious environment. The Library has a massive stock of required books and supplies that is necessary for the courses available at Dhemaji Polytechnic. Sports events are also held at our college and all the students participate to compete with each other. As for the social groups and clubs, a Union Body is formed after every College Election. They oversee the students and the problems faced by them in college. Their duty is to organise events and convey any kind of message or information from the students to the principal or vice versa.

What I didn’t like

Placement Experience:

During the course, students have to appear for three internships. Each after the completion of a semester. In my case, I haven't done any internships yet but after the completion of this semester i am most certain that different companies would send offer letters to our college for internship purposes. The projects for internships vary with every branch. In Civil Engineering, we are required to work on Dams, Bridges, Roads, Highways, etc.

Remarks:

Polytechnic courses offer a versatile way to take admission and are very flexible for students from all the three streams. It is a HSLC based course that requires the HSLC marksheet to enter. Moreover we had to appear for an entrance exam called PAT to qualify for admission. It is a 100 mark exam where different category students have different cut-off percentages. Preparation for the PAT exam is mild because it consists of questions from the 9th and 10th syllabus.

DHEMAJI POLYTECHNIC Review

What I Liked

I like about the college is the study environment of this college
One more things I like of this college is the faculties of this college is very good and very supportive

What I didn’t like

I disliked things of this college is the classrooms, the classrooms is very small
And I more thing is the laboratorys,are very dirty

Placement Experience:

Dhemaji Polytechnic guarantees 100% placement offers after completion of courses. The salary after completion of degree can vary from ?18,000/month to ?28,000/month. After completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, I would certainly apply for jobs in IOCL,BPCL,ONGC, etc.

Remarks:

Review on Dhemaji Polytechnic

What I Liked

The infrastructure is very big and beautiful. It has all the necessary facilities and the faculty of the college is also very friendly and cooperative.
The campus life on the other hand is very exciting and motivating.
The college offers workshops and laboratories that helps us learn in a practical way and practice for the real-world scenarios.

What I didn’t like

The college could be cleaned and re-painted because all these years of rain and dust has destroyed the current coat of paint and therefore it looks very dull and ripped.
Although having a lot of classrooms and other rooms like the Common rooms is helpful. It can be seen that common rooms are almost locked every time we try to enter. And the college needs to work on the repairing time of the fans and other necessary facilities.

Dhemaji polytechnic

What I Liked

We have digital classroom and we get to enjoy a lot jn that classroom.
Teachers behave so calmly to the students, they behave ljke friends to us.

What I didn’t like

We dont have playground in our college, so we face problem like we have to go to other college field.
We are not allowed to participate lat night function and for dj and all.

Placement Experience:

Placement and internship eligibility criteria are after when we take our 3rd semester examination we will be eligible to go to our internship in many places like local areas or urban areas. Average package as per the company offered is about 10000 to 15000.

Remarks:

This was my dream to get admission t this college. The admission process is in offline mood. To prepare for the exam I was reading my last class 9/10 books. To get admission we have to take an exam, which is known as the PAT examination.

Review on my college

What I Liked

The college provides campus placement which is a really good opportunity for many students.
The teacher are also very helpful towards our studies.

What I didn’t like

The college need to maintain cleanliness in the campus.
More practical classes should be provided in the college.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are given in the college itself. Different companies from all over India come to the college for placement and organizes Every year placement are being given to the students and if any student does not get any placement in the campus,he/she may apply for jobs after completion of the course or may even go for higher studies if they prefer.

Remarks:

The course is very interesting which made me choose the course. A written entrance exam was organised for the admission which includes subjects such as physics, chemistry and mathematics. The college faculty is quite good and very helpful towards our studies. The college also gives campus placement which really appreciating in a government institution. But in a few areas the college need to improve,such as more practical classes rather than theory classes also maintaining cleanliness in the college campus and water problem which occurs frequently. The addmission process is online and we need to give an entrance exam for that. After that counselling is held and we are given admission in different polytechnics all over Assam.
