The Library has a massive stock of required books and supplies that is necessary for the courses available at Dhemaji Polytechnic. Sports events are also held at our college and all the students participate to compete with each other. As for the social groups and clubs, a Union Body is formed after every College Election. They oversee the students and the problems faced by them in college. Their duty is to organise events and convey any kind of message or information from the students to the principal or vice versa.

Remarks :
Polytechnic courses offer a versatile way to take admission and are very flexible for students from all the three streams. It is a HSLC based course that requires the HSLC marksheet to enter. Moreover we had to appear for an entrance exam called PAT to qualify for admission. It is a 100 mark exam where different category students have different cut-off percentages. Preparation for the PAT exam is mild because it consists of questions from the 9th and 10th syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Different students would have different reasons but i chose this course as it offers admission to all the students from all the three streams or even the ones who just passed HSLC. I was from Arts/Humanities stream and wanted to opt for a technical course. And therefore Diploma in Civil Engineering in Dhemaji Polytechnic helped me pursue my desired course. The faculty members are highly trained and also very flexible with different languages. They explain each and every detail about their respective courses to the students and also to the ones that don't understand English or have difficulty understanding English. We have to appear for two examinations per semester. One being the sessional and the other being the End Semester Examination. Sessionals are not very tough and are easy to clear but E.S.E. can be quite challenging and needs serious preparation for it.
Internships Opportunities :
Dhemaji Polytechnic guarantees 100% placement offers after completion of courses. The salary after completion of degree can vary from rs 18,000/month to rs 28,000/month. After completion of Diploma in Civil Engineering, I would certainly apply for jobs in NHIDCL, ONGC, etc.
Placement Experience :
During the course, students have to appear for three internships. Each after the completion of a semester. In my case, I haven't done any internships yet but after the completion of this semester i am most certain that different companies would send offer letters to our college for internship purposes. The projects for internships vary with every branch. In Civil Engineering, we are required to work on Dams, Bridges, Roads, Highways, etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We pay rs 3500 per year but the first time admission fee is rs 4750. Other caution fees, lab fees, etc. are included in this. For other categories like SC, ST and OBC; they pay about the same amount as mine. There are several scholarships available for the students coming from SC, ST and OBC categories. But GENERAL category students don't get any kind of aid or scholarship. Whereas there are internships offered by the college to every student. Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is good There is two days fish and two days meat and one day paneer in the recipe in a week so over all the food facility is good and also sometimes they offer fried rice chowmin and dosas

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
