Our college is one of the best college in Kamrup rural district. After class 12, I chose a general degree, so I heard the name of this college and took admission. There is no group interview etc. for admission here. Admissions are done through two processes, one is on the basis of class 12 marks and the other is on the basis of CUET exam.Minimum 60% is required in class 12 for admission in our college. And CUET has its own criteria. Overall it is a good college for general degree courses BSC, BA.
I wanted to do a degree so I thought of taking Honours in Chemistry subject, and in our nearby area Pub Kamrup College was the only arch institute where the fees were also very low. That's why I decided to do graduation from this college itself. The teachers in each department are very good and highly qualified. My department is chemistry, and there are enough 4/5 teachers in the chemistry department, and 2/3 teachers are also PhD holders. And all the rest are MSC passed and CSIR NET cleared teachers.
I am currently in the 2nd year or 3rd semester, so there is no internship program yet.And every student from every department gets to do internship in the 3rd year or 5th semesters only.Get an internship at a company or school.I don't know that much till now, but seniors had said that they got an internship at IIT Guwahati.
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
In our college, the annual fee is up to Rs 10,000 for regular degree courses like BSc, BA, BCA etc.The fees of science stream are slightly higher than arts stream. And in our college, students also get scholarship, due to which the per year fees of the students comes down to Rs 2000.And this scholarship is available to those who have an income certificate or ration card. And the students who get good marks in class 12 board, they get scholarship up to 200000 lakhs, Ishan Uday scholarship.OBC, SC, ST students get separate reservation at the time of admission and also get caste based scholarship.
Campus is very beautiful. And the infrastructure of the college is also very good, there are 2 sections in the college, Science Block and Arts Block. And every year in our college, a youth festival is held in the month of February. There, students from every department participate in different cultural and sports activities. Every department participates against each other in sports, cultural and musical activities. There is a good and big library available in our college, more than 50000 books are available there. And different types of books are available, competitive oriented, novel, journal, science, arts related books. And sports ground and Indore stadium are available in our college campus itself. And a gym is also available for the students.
I did not take hostel because my house is near the college, but my friend has taken boys hostel.First let me talk about the girls hostel, the girls hostel is very good, the infrastructure is also good, the campus is also greenery, but the boys hostel is not that good, the infrastructure of the boys hostel is a bit weak. The seat capacity in the boys hostel is also less, and there is no single room facility and it is less. Food quality is same as normal hostel, it is fine, it is fine.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
