- The infrastructure is good in our college the faculty are also well behaved campus life is also good
- The classing hour is little bit more that is our class starts from 8:00 a.m. and it usually ends at 5 o'clock
Dislikes
- Things I dislike about my college is doing the practical of mushroom it's like packing of bag composed back preparation of mushroom preparation of compost
- The thing I dislike is the hostel bathroom sometime it's very untidy to use
Remarks :
Generally there is no interview there is a state level exam for this entry in college exam name is aau cet after qualifying the exam we have to go in the counselling and we have to choose our course that we want to pursue
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose to be say agriculture because Assam isvknown for his agriculture sector anti husbandry agriculture contains mushroom production soil production tea production biofertilizer biopesticides so many scope are there in Assam as in Bsc agriculture the faculties are very qualified and very knowledgeable and at per semester two exams held mid term exam and end term exam and practical exams and quizzes also held
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I am not applied in any internship I am just in first year but the thing I know that there is 100% internship the companies that give internship and job are Amul federal Bank Punjab National Bank and many seed company
Placement Experience :
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At the first time of admission it cost 36000 for one semester that is 6 months and after 6 month it will cost 26 to 22k there is no feed relaxation for reserved candidate also there is scholarship that is rs 2000 per month if we get 8 CGPA at per semester of end the fees of b.tech biotechnology is about 50000 for first 6 months then from 2nd semester it would be 36 to 34000
Campus Life :
The campus life is also okay as I have opted for hostel I live in hostel there is many places in our hostel like voting place is there library is also there is also present there is also swimming pool tea garden
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel message is 2100 which is very much affordable and at each room we stay 3 person at morning we get one roti and vegetables curry at lunch we get veg and in one week we get two days chicken two day fish today's egg and one day veg

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
