Remarks :
I always have had an interest in exploring the field of Life Sciences. For this, I was searching for an institute that could provide me with a good facility with high recognition for studying Life Sciences. From my friends and online sources, I got to know about Assam Agricultural University located in Jorhat, Assam. This is one of the leading institutions in India and the only ICAR Accredited Institution in Assam. There I applied for the course Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Agriculture. I have been shortlisted based on my merit and got the addmission. After completing my graduation I applied for the master's degree at this university for that I appeared in an entrance examination conducted by NTA as per ICAR guidelines. I appeared for an M.Sc (Agri) in Soil Science. I got the admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum, The Course is designed by the ICAR, and these designated courses are taught in the university Academics, Academically Assam Agricultural University is one of the top Agricultural Universities in India and the one and only ICAR Accredited Institution in Assam. There are a total of 8 semesters and 4 semesters for Bachelor and Masters respectively. There are two examination systems in a year which include the Midterm which is conducted in the middle of the semester and the Endterm being conducted at the end of the semester. Faculties are highly qualified and well-experienced in teaching. They are easily approachable to the students. Scholarship is provided by the university under the State Government and ICAR Scholarship system.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship but In the course curriculum, the RAWE Program included the students get a chance to explore field-level farming activities in rural areas with farmers. Which helps the students to understand ground-level farming activities.
Placement Experience :
Placement is available in the university but it is not sufficient as every year hundreds of students graduate from the university. The university should tie up with more organizations to provide placement to students in the government and private sectors.
Campus Life :
The campus is full of greenery with sufficient space. There are various fishing places which include the university eco-tourism park, University landscape, Canteen, and cafeteria. For Reading purposes, there is a central library with thousands of books in it and with an internet facility. Classrooms are fully smart with projectors, LED Displays, etc. For the music, literary, cultural, and sports enthusiasts there is an opportunity to express their talent in the annual Universe Sports Fest College fest and the Annual Fest.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is in poor condition with some serious problems including water quality is the most serious one. The electricity facility is not also good. Rooms are not sufficiently spacious and food is not satisfactory.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
