I chose BDS because I wanted to treat people of their ailments and Dentistry has quite a scope in doing that. Faculty are well qualified with a MDS degree and well versed in their topics. Exam were taken regularly with thorough evaluation and well coordinated review system. The exams were moderately difficult to test your concepts. Many scholarships are provided through our college like Swami Vivekananda and Student Credit Card. The fee has been hiked by almost 2 lacs per year.
Placement is not done at our College since it is a Professional course. However, it provides opportunities to make our lives better by opening our professional domain and providing healthcare to a larger number of patients.
Read Full ReviewThis course is a total of 5 years which includes 4 years of study and 1 year of compulsory internship. I want to become a doctor that's why I choose this course. The faculties are all MDS degree holders. There is one university exam at the end of every year and internal exams in between the years. There are few scholarships available.
In this course there are no such campusing Or placement options available there is only a one-year internship available at the end of 4years of study during this internship period a monthly stipend is given.
Read Full ReviewThe BDS curriculum is extensive and tough for the 1st 3 years and even more extensive and tougher for the last and final year. This is a professional course and I think earning one's bread is far more reliable in this than many others, as one can be self employed and thus flexible. Exams got delayed due to students clamouring to delay NEET UG in 2020 and subsequent years, the price for which we are paying now: the most extensive and toughest year gets the lowest amount of time. Internal exams are a bit tougher than University exams but the questions are more or less spot on. Classes and clinical duties are hactic but can be fun. Fees have now gone up but still less than 7 lakh INR total in state quota. Several scholarships are available and encouraged by the college.
Job and housestaffship opportunities are very few. Like other medical and dental colleges in the country, there is compulsory 1 year (paid) internship after graduation. After getting the degree, most settle for private practice, some go for NEET MDS, few go for housestaffship or jobs.
