B.Com Admission 2023: Entrance Exam

The top B.Com entrance exams are CUET, NPAT, IPU CET, JET, DSAT etc. However CUET is the most accepted entrance exam for B.Com admission 2023. Other exams are conducted at the university level for B.Com admission. 

B.Com Admission 2023: Eligibility criteria

As the admission criteria varies from college to college but some of the most common eligibility criteria for B.Com admissions 2023 is mentioned below. 

• Candidates must complete an intermediate level of education (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board like CBSE or ICSE. 
• The minimum percentage for Bcom admissions varies from college to college.
• In general, every year Delhi University releases a cut-off for different courses but as mentioned for Bcom admissions the cut-off can be as high as 99 percent whereas, for some colleges, it can be as low as 45 percent.
• No specific stream is required to get admissions for Bcom.
• A candidate gets preference over candidates from other streams if he/she has completed 10+2 with Commerce.
• 15% seats will be reserved for All India Quota seats, while 85% seats will be reserved for state quota.
• Candidates have to go through the official website/prospectus of the college/university to have a clear idea about the eligibility required for the preferred institute.

B.Com Admission 2023: Selection Criteria

• Every college has a different criterion of B.Com admission 2023 but in general for the academic year 2023, majority of Universities have adopted the CUET entrance exam as the sole admission criteria for B.Com admission 2023.
• Some minority Colleges like Mumbai University, Amity University, St. Xavier’s College, IGNOU, etc select the candidates on the basis of their merit score of class 12.

• The candidates are required to register themselves on the official website of the college/ university via email and Mobile number.
• The candidates have to fill the application form correctly.
• Applicants should fill in all the necessary fields and upload documents to complete the application process cautiously before the deadline.
• Pay the application fees and apply them.
• Once verified, Save the print receipt and the application form for future reference.
• For entrance examination: The candidates are require of the institution regularly for college/ university regularly for updates.
• The university releases the admit card for the examination and you have to wait for further information and results.

Merit based admissions. 

• The candidates are chosen based on their merit score of class 12.
• Candidates are first required to register for the admission process and sometimes essentially need to apply to the school or college.
• The university releases an online application form that needs to be correctly filled by the candidates and have to choose the desired course (B.Com) they wish to apply for.
• Later, the University releases a Cutoff list for different courses for admissions.
• The candidates who have scored equivalent to or more than the cut-off scores are eligible to take admission into expected colleges
• For example: The first cut-off admission for Hansraj College is expected to be 98% for B.Com admission and the candidate has scored 98.5% , the candidate will qualify for the cutoff and is eligible for admission into the college.
