Hindu College, one of the oldest and most reputed institutions under the University of Delhi, was established in 1899. It holds the status of a constituent college and recognized for its academic records, vibrant campus life, and excellence in Arts, Science and Commerce disciplines. Located in the North Campus of Delhi University, New Delhi. It has achieved rank 1 in the NIRF All India College Ranking 2024, and position 2 in both 2023 and 2022. The college has also been accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC.

Hindu College offers a wide range of UG and PG courses, where the B.Sc.(Hons) and B.A.(Hons) are the most popular UG programs. Admission to UG courses and PG courses is based on CUET scores, followed by a centralized counselling process conducted by Delhi University. My hindi course is taught by the most experienced and brilliant faculty of university consisting prof rameshwar Rai the oldest proffesor teaching from 1985 And the other faculty members are graduated from our college itself

Placement Experience:

Placement is decent and managed by placement cell of college itself Disha the placement cell is a recognised society of our college which manages all the placement related stuff . Specialy commerce students are most benifitted by it.

It is among the top cources offered in Delhi university and Hindu collage being NIRF#1 was a decent choice for me and For B.Sc. mathematics you have 3 core subjects and 4 optional subjects (SEC,VAC,AEC,GE) of morderate difficulty.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are pretty good and readily available for students of 2 and 3 rd year with decent package and working cultures, intership are offered for 1st year students from various brands and organisations such as Deloitte, infosys , google, HDFC and many more.

Hindu college's commerce department follows the curriculum of the delhi university and has one of the most highly qualified faculties in the country. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects in the commerce and finance domain and with increase in flexibility due to new education policy it really helps the students study a wider range of subjects

Course is definitely quite heavy but very interesting too. Maximum things can be connected to our practical life. Every year, relevant changes are made by experts. Faculty is quite knowledgeable but sometimes face issue with connectivity. Majorly, classes are in fully English medium.

Placement Experience:

I heard that Economics Hons. in Hindu College attracts the largest number of companies and corporates in whole DU. Even, Relaxo has its own Research Centre in our college. If we have good CGPA with required skills, it's no more difficult for a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always been particularly startstruck by historians and their thirst to know the unknown. My teaching faculties are well over qualified with some being direct students of great historians and some with foreign degrees even phds. I had my first term recently. The exam level was fair and simple. Very learning too

Remarks:

It is the number one ranked in the country right now. I only had to apply for CUET and got in based on my marks. I scored 764 which is faud for st categories. THE CUTOFF FOR HINDU IS EXTREMELY HIGH Especially for history and pol sc honours

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members are really very approachable to the students. Their friendly behaviour and expertise is worth mentioning.The teaching methods of the teachers is very good. Exams are according to the university timetable and have a considerable level of hardness which allows all kinds of students to showcase their knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell of Hindu is very active and has collaborated with various companies like Deloitte,HDFC, Jaypee etc. The highest package is about 15LPA and students involved in more societies and internships have a high chance of getting placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose history honours due to my invested interest. I wanted to pursue this course only from Hindu College and I'm totally satisfied with it. The faculty of the history department is very nice. All the Professors are well educated and helpful. Each professor has a distinct style of teaching but in a positive way. The internal test are taken by the teachers timely. The Semester exam takes place on time. The level of the exam is moderate. Most of the students bear good marks in exams.

Placement Experience:

My course particularly does not offer any placement opportunities but students go for intership in different fields. Many students with their merit go for being interns in various government ministries.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course involves studying all the three major subjects as core subjects which are Physics, Chemistry And Maths. Same I had in my class 12.The reason behind opting the course is flexibility you get after getting into this cover. All the facult members are well educated and well trained as well as experienced. Teaching method is great. End sem exam falls twice a year and are not as difficult as honours courses

Placement Experience:

Generally since today there are no placements provided by the college. Yet there are several internship opportunities. Which may be paid or unpaid. Apart from placements you can go for post graduation and prepare for UGC NET or before NET you can give IIT JAM exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties are really helpful, they are top notch. Since philosophy is a static subject, so we have fixed syllabus. There are exams at the end of every semester and delhi university is responsible for the exams.

Remarks:

The nirf ranking of hindu college was the prime factor. I interacted with few Hindu College alumni, they inspired me to choose this college. CUET was the admission criteria and i did not face any interviews, only written tests were conducted.
