Calculus questions cover continuity, increasing and decreasing functions, maximum volume, area under a curve and differential equations. Q8 and Q9 each offer a choice between differential equations and integration.
One question asked for the area between y = sin x and the x-axis from 0 to 2π. The curve crosses the axis at π, so the two regions have to be counted separately. Their combined area is 4 square units; the definite integral over the whole interval is zero because the signed values cancel.
Selected Maths Questions with Solutions
Calculus, relations, continuity and conditional probability feature in the UP Board Class 12 Maths questions 2026. The questions range from finding a value to proving continuity and solving a differential equation.
One definite integral becomes much simpler after replacing x with π/2 − x. For 1/(1 + √tan x), the original and transformed expressions add to 1. Twice the integral from 0 to π/2 is therefore π/2, giving the answer π/4.
Order and Degree of a Differential Equation
Two selected differential equations had the same order but different degrees:
Equation

9y′′ = [1 + (y′)2]1/3

xyy′′ + x(y′)2 − yy′ = 2

Cubing the first equation raises y′′ to power 3. In the second, y′′ has power 1; the squared first derivative does not change its degree.

Section D carries the most marks: 30 out of 70. Its questions combine explanations, calculations and diagrams. All four Section E questions have an internal choice; the three-mark optics question in Section D also offers an alternative.
Important Topics in Physics Set 346 DW
Set 346 DW combined one-mark questions with longer calculations and derivations. The photoelectric-effect question joined Einstein's equation with a stopping-potential calculation. The Bohr-model question included its postulates and an energy-level diagram.
Dual Nature, Atoms and Nuclei together account for 16 marks in this set. These include de Broglie wavelength, nuclear stability, nuclear density, photoelectric emission and the Balmer series. Electrostatics contributes 11 marks, Optics 10 and Current Electricity 8.
The last five-mark question offers a choice between energy bands in solids and magnetic materials with a solenoid. Another offers a magnetic-field derivation or mutual induction.
Physics Numerical Questions
The 2026 Physics paper 346 DX asks questions on electric fields, photoelectric emission, resistance and magnetic force. Other available sets include 346 DY, 346 DT, 346 DU, 346 DS and 346 DW.
A resistance question gives two resistors in parallel with an equivalent resistance of 6/5 ohm. When one is removed, the resistance becomes 2 ohms. The remaining resistor is therefore 2 ohms, but finding the removed resistor needs the parallel-resistance formula:
1/R = 5/6 − 1/2 = 1/3 Removed resistance = 3 ohms
Another question asks for the dimensions of electric field. Using E = F/q gives M L T−3 A−1.
UP Board Class 12 Chemistry Question Paper 2026
Chemistry set 347 EE had seven main questions with 26 parts for 70 marks. These ranged from one-mark MCQs to five-mark reaction questions. Students had three hours for writing and 15 minutes for reading.

Set 347 EE included definitions and named reactions alongside calculations on solution concentration, cell potential and reaction half-life. One question gave a ten-percent-by-mass glucose solution and asked for both its molality and mole fractions.
The five-mark organic questions included conversions, named reactions and chemical tests. Question 6(b) covered Williamson's synthesis and reactions of phenol, while Question 7(b) asked about the Hinsberg test and the carbylamine reaction.
Chemistry Questions with Solutions
Chemical kinetics, coordination compounds, substitution reactions and peptide bonds appear in the Chemistry questions and solutions for 2026. The paper collection also includes coded sets 347 EE, 347 EF, 347 EC, 347 ED, 347 EA, 347 EB and 347 DZ.
In the memory-based questions, a reaction has the rate law Rate = k[A]2[B]0. Its order is 2, found by adding the powers of concentration: 2 + 0. The zero power of B means that changing B's concentration does not change the rate in this expression.
Other questions cover first-order half-life, linkage isomerism, IUPAC names of coordination compounds and peptide bonds.
UP Board Class 12 Biology Question Paper 2026
Biology paper 348 EM carried 70 marks. Its questions move from objective and very short answers to explanations, labelled diagrams and longer processes. The long-answer choices cover microsporogenesis or spermatogenesis, DNA fingerprinting or translation and the Hardy–Weinberg principle, and ecological pyramids or decomposition.
Diagram questions include a sectional view of a seminiferous tubule and the stages of microsporogenesis or spermatogenesis. Other descriptive questions cover the transcription unit, DNA fingerprinting and decomposition.
Reproduction and evolution appear in Biology paper 348 EM. Its objective questions include water pollination in Vallisneria and Darwin's theory of natural selection.
UP Board Class 12 Hindi Question Paper 2026
The Hindi paper 301 BA includes questions on authors and literary forms. Dhruvaswamini is a play, while Tyagpatra is a novel by Jainendra Kumar.
The paper includes prose and poetry extracts, author introductions, character sketches and Sanskrit translation. Extract-based questions ask for the writer, word meanings and an explanation of the passage.
Several literature answers have an 80-word limit, including the author introduction and story-based question. The choices include a character sketch from Khoon Ka Rishta or the purpose of Laati.

UP Board Class 12 Question Paper 2026 FAQs
Choosing and Using Papers
How should I use memory-based questions?+
Memory-based questions come from students' recollections after the exam and may cover only part of the paper.
Should I answer both alternatives in a question with internal choice?+
Answer the number of alternatives asked for in the question. If it says to attempt one, choose one during the timed paper. You can solve the other afterwards for extra practice.
Can a question from an older syllabus still be useful?+
Yes, if the topic is part of your current syllabus. A question from a deleted unit can still help you understand that concept, but it does not establish that the unit will be tested in the next exam.
What if the option letter differs between my paper and the solution?+
Different sets may arrange the options in a different order. Match the question and its values, then compare the answer itself rather than just A, B, C or D.
How many questions were there in the 2026 Maths paper? +
Set 324 CX has nine main questions with 31 parts to answer. Q7, Q8 and Q9 each offer two alternatives; attempt one in each. The integration option in Q9 contains two four-mark questions.
Which topic carried the highest marks in Maths set 324 CX? +
Calculus carries 44 of the 100 marks, including continuity, applications of derivatives, integration and differential equations. Vectors and Three-dimensional Geometry contribute 18 marks. These totals describe set 324 CX; they are not a prediction for a future paper.
Can the MCQs alone show whether a paper was easy? +
No. Physics 346 DW has six one-mark MCQs, while its three-mark and five-mark answers contribute 50 marks. A student may find the objective questions straightforward and still spend much longer on a derivation, circuit calculation or labelled diagram.
Does the three-hour-fifteen-minute duration include reading time? +
Yes. Maths 324 CX, Physics 346 DW and Chemistry 347 EE allow 15 minutes for reading and three hours for writing.
