Online Form Editing will be available from Nov 16 to 17. Jamia Millia Islamia is Offering 58 Doctoral Programs for Ph.D. Admissions 2024-25.

The university will separately announce the entrance examination schedule.

JMI PhD Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. must have obtained

  • Master's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled)
  • Equivalent foreign degree recognized by University
  • M.Phil. degree with 55% marks (for direct Ph.D.)

JMI PhD Admission Requirements

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for part-time Ph.D.
  • The entrance test for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall be in English
  • The candidates who obtain at least 50 percent marks in aggregate of paper I and paper II shall qualify for the interview.
  • Paper I (research methodology, 2 hours, 100 multiple-choice questions)
  • Paper II (3 hours, subject-specific)
  • Candidates should secure 40% score in the interview to be qualified.
