Apeejay Stya University’s School of Engineering & Technology has held a two-day drone development workshop at the premises. The young learners at the workshop engaged and explored the cutting-edge technology that is required in the fascinating world of Drones.

More than 30 participants from across Delhi-NCR attended the workshop. Students expressed gratitude for the enriching learning experience. They acknowledged the role of the workshop that helped them understand drone technology and enhance their skills. ASU focuses on technology and research-integrated education.

The CEO and Founder of Indian Robotics Solutions, Mr. Sagar Gupta inaugurated the events with a ceremony. Those present from ASU included Vice-Chancellor Professor Vijay Vir Singh, Prof Chetan Chaudhary (Registrar), Professor Moinuddin, and Prof A.K. Goel (Dean Academics).

The workshop conducted by Apeejay Stya University provided students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in drone development. They learned about different types of drones, the legal aspects of drone operation, and the component selection criteria of drones in India. Practical sessions included the assembly of GPS and flight controllers, culminating in successful drone trials.

The applications of drones ranging from surveillance and agriculture to filmmaking and disaster management have emerged as a powerful source. In this rapidly evolving field, learning about drone technology will enhance their skills and would prepare them for future opportunities as envisioned by ASU.

The demand for drone experts will grow in the coming years as per industry survey reports, the drone market worldwide is projected to grow rapidly (2024-2028) resulting in a market volume of US$4.7 Billion in 2028.

The certificates were distributed after the end of the two-day event to coordinators and participants by Vice Chancellor Prof. Vijay Vir Singh and other dignitaries. With theoretical knowledge and practical insight, participants learned many meaningful skills related to the ever-expanding field of drone technology.
