Two students named Siddhant Srivastav and Palak Sindhwani from Shoolini University have successfully gained admission to top universities in Taiwan and the USA. Highlighting the commitment of Shoolini University to fostering global educational opportunities, the university made it possible with the support and guidance of the Office of International Affairs (OIA). 

Siddhant Srivastav’s Leap to National Taiwan University

MSc Microbiology student Siddharth Srivastav got accepted into the Ph.D. course at the National University of Taiwan. The university is ranked 69th globally. Before being accepted into the program, Siddharth Srivastav joined a fully funded internship via OIA. During the course, Siddharth will be engaged in research at the Department of Biomechatronics Engineering. His selection to the program showcases academic excellence and global exposure at Shoolini. 

Prof Ram Prakash Dwivedi, Director of OIA expressed his words and said, “Our students’ global success showcases Shoolini’s dedication to research excellence and international standards. We are proud to develop talents for the world stage, proving our part in creating future leaders and innovators.”

Arpit Kumar: Leading Shoolini to Taekwondo Triumph

Arprit Kumar, a first-year B.Tech CSE student at Shoolini, received rank 1 in the Inter-University Taekwondo Championship conducted at Jalandhar recently. He not only got the first spot in the championship, but he will now be representing Shoolini University in the upcoming All India Taekwondo Games. 

How Did It Start?

Arprit nostalgically recalled his early school years and expressed his passion for Taekwondo during a summer camp. He said, “It was way back in the first standard that I joined a summer camp and practised Taekwondo as a co-curricular activity, and from that moment, I developed a profound interest, realizing that this is something I want to pursue.” 

His Inspiration

Arpit, hailing from Haryana, finds his motivation in his father, who is an Akhada Wrestler. He said “Through sports, we achieve mental and physical fitness. It enhances our decision-making abilities. So, believe in yourself, practice daily, and never give up – success stems from perseverance.”

Support from Shoolini University

Shoolini University offered training and financial support to Arprit for equipment and competition, which played an important role in his success. Arprit said, “Our

campus and university offer an excellent balance between academics and sports.” He also said, “I have been preparing within the campus, benefiting from a dedicated coach and well-equipped training facilities. I am prepared to give my best at the All-India University Taekwondo games, and I plan to participate in future tournaments for the university, continuing to deliver my best.” 

Arpit is not only known for his Taekwondo, but he is proficient in his leadership skills. He is currently the student coordinator for martial arts activities at Shoolini University. This highlights Arpit’s influential role and athletic prowess within the university community. Arpit's triumph, along with other students, reflects the university's commitment to fostering talent and cultivating a culture of comprehensive excellence. Dean of Student Welfare, Poonam Nanda, remarked, “This accomplishment not only adds another feather to Shoolini University’s cap but also solidifies its reputation as a hub for nurturing talent and fostering a culture of all-around excellence. By providing outstanding mentorship and training for young and enthusiastic athletes, the university sustains its legacy of producing young athletes who contribute to winning gold for the country.”
