Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya is inviting for PhD January 2025 session. The admission process will start in December 2024.

UGC JRF/ NET/ SLET/ SET/ GATE/ CSIR/ ICHR/ ICPR/ ICSSR qualified candidates are exempted from the Entrance test, they have to appear only for the interview.

The Admission fee is INR 2000. SCSVMV is offering a stipend of INR 20,000 for full-time scholars.

SCSVMV PhD Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates are eligible for admission who meet and fulfill the specified eligibility criteria:-

  • Master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade on a point scale, with a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates.
  • Qualifications declared equivalent to a master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body.
  • Candidates with a PG degree in a discipline other than the proposed research area can apply provided their research problem is connected or interrelated with the proposed location.
  • Relevant teaching/research/professional/industrial experience is required for part-time categories.

SCSVMV PhD Selection Procedure

  • The applications will be screened for eligibility, and only those meeting the required criteria will be considered for further processing.
  • The screened applications will be verified at the department level for eligibility, research topic relevance, and other required details.
  • The selected applications will be intimated for an entrance test and personal interview, where the entrance test syllabus will consist of 50% research methodology and 50% broad area of research.
  • The selected candidates will be informed to pay the prescribed fee within 15 days to confirm their PhD provisional selection.
