SCSVMV PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • A Master's degree or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is provided to SC / ST / OBC NCL / EWS / PwD category candidates.
  • Research fellows / assistants in any existing department of the University, are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates having a PG degree with a minimum of two years of relevant teaching / research / professional / industrial experience are eligible for a Part-time PhD.
  • Candidates with non-Sanskrit PG degrees may apply for PhD in Sanskrit under specific conditions.

SCSVMV PhD Admission Process

  • The candidates need to apply online through the University Portal.
  • The eligible candidates, with a relevant research proposal, will be called for entrance examination and personal interview at the University campus.
  • Candidates qualified UGC JRF / NET / GATE or other equivalent national-level tests are exempted from the Entrance test but they must appear for the interview.
  • The selected candidates have to submit the prescribed fee within 15 days, confirming their PhD selection.
