Bengaluru, 12th December 2023: Recently, NMIMS Bengaluru hosted actor Manoj Bajpayee for an interactive talk show where the entire star cast of Joram accompanied the actor. At the event veteran actor also engaged in a Q&A with the students and cinema enthusiasts.

During the event, Manoj Bajpayee recounted inspiring stories from his eventful life journey and reflected on his cinematic career. In an interactive conversation between him and the audience, He reveals the challenges faced during the making of the film Joram, which included the intense shooting sequences along with a three-month-old baby. In addition to his shooting experience, he also shares the process behind his preparations stating that he prefers getting into the skin of the characters he plays completely and moulding his craft according to it.

He discusses his third successful collaboration with Devashish Makhija, an acclaimed director for Joram and also mentions their previous collaboration Bhosle received an overwhelming response from the OTT audience and resulted in him receiving his third National Award along with international accolades. As the event unfolded, the actor delighted the audience by reciting iconic dialogues from his films during the interaction. The star cast of Joram discussed the success of the movie at the IIFR and the Jio MAMI.

The actor responded to the question about finding the right balance between choosing contemporary and commercial films, “I never look at films with a preconceived notion of whether it is a contemporary film or a commercial entertainer. I treat all stories with the same conviction because I believe every good film will eventually receive its due Recognition.”

His remarkable portrayals in films such as Bandit Queen and Satya, along with standout performances in popular movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Special 26, exemplify his acting mastery. He has been honoured with India’s second-highest civilian recognition the Padma Shri for his exceptional performances, He also received many national and international accolades and awards, including four National Awards.

Joram is a survival thriller in which Manoj Bajpayee plays the protagonist role, who is on the run with his baby girl after a set of terrible events involving him. The movie presents a compelling narrative of human resilience, shedding light on various crucial social, political, and economic issues. Earlier this year, it had the honor of being showcased at both the esteemed International Film Festival of Rotterdam (IFFR) and the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival., receiving wide accolades. On 8th December 2023, the film was released in theatres.
