NMIMS offers various scholarships on a merit basis. It provides a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students. The primary goal of this scholarship is to offer financial assistance to academically talented students from low-income families, helping them cover their day-to-day expenses during their higher education. This scholarship provides financial support to economically disadvantaged individuals in the General, SC, ST, and PwD categories.

NMIMS Scholarships are granted based on the results of the Senior Secondary Examination. The total number of scholarships is distributed among the State Education Boards, considering the state's population in the 18-25 age group. The minimum eligibility is students who have scored 80+ percentile in the relevant stream in Class 12th or equivalent or have a family income of less than 6 Lakhs per annum are eligible. Those pursuing regular courses and not benefiting from any other scholarship scheme are eligible. At the graduation level, students receive INR 1,000 per month for the first three years of college and university courses. At the post-graduation level, the amount increases to INR 2,000 per month. Students pursuing professional courses receive INR 2,000 per month in the 4th and 5th year. The scholarship is paid for 10 months in an academic year.
