Bengaluru, 12th September, 2023: NMIMS Bengaluru has effectively wrapped up the AD MAD and Best Out of Waste Intercollegiate Competition. The event brought together exceptionally talented and creative students from colleges across Bengaluru, filling the campus with an atmosphere of excitement and energy.

There were a number of universities and colleges participating in the competition including NMIMS Bengaluru, T John College, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru (NIFT), International Institute of Information Technology, Bengaluru (IIITB), Indus Business Academy, Bengaluru, and International School of Business & Research (ISBR).

AD MAD and Best Out of Waste Intercollegiate Competition

In the AD MAD competition, teams of 3-5 students came together to display their advertising skills by creating spontaneous content on surprise topics. Under the constraint of a maximum of 15 minutes of preparation time, the advertisement performances spanned from 60 seconds to 3 minutes in duration. A panel of judges evaluated participants based on their spontaneity, content quality, adherence to the given topic, on-stage presentation, coordination, and overall appeal. Participants captivated the audience with their originality and creativity, employing diverse advertising formats, including skits, jingles, slogans, banners, and innovative presentations.

By crafting innovative and valuable products from household and stationery waste Teams of 3-4 students displayed their resourcefulness in the Best Out of Waste competition. Evaluating creativity, innovation, explanation, and utility are the main criteria for judging. Participants exhibited their dedication to eco-friendliness and sustainable practices.

AD MAD and Best Out of Waste Intercollegiate Competition

The talented teams from the International School of Business & Research (ISBR) secured all the prizes in both categories.

The three prizes for the AD MAD contest were awarded to creatively named teams. The first prize was clinched by "Crux," featuring Adarsh, Shivam, Saurabh, Vidhi, and Ishika; the second prize was secured by the "Black Wings" team, led by Kushal, Surya, Somitha, Khushi, and Avneet, while the third prize was won by the "Stalwarts" team, consisting of Abhishek, Ishita, Mehak, and Shiffan. 

The three winning teams of the Best of Waste contest were as such - The "Prodigies" team, represented by Tamanna, Samreen, Gnanasri, and Shivangini. The "Upchay" team, featuring Avishi, Tejal, Grishma, and Bhagyashree. The "Trailblazers" team, composed of Kashish, Shreya, Akansha, and Neha. 

Cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams of the competitions, ranging from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 5,000. 

The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm, collaboration, creativity, and a strong commitment to promoting eco-friendly practices. NMIMS Bengaluru takes great pride in hosting an event that not only fostered creative thinking but also inspired students to actively contribute to a sustainable future.
