By taking this course, students will develop an analytical mindset and data-oriented skills.
Ques. How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?
For a more engaged teaching and learning process, faculty use pedagogical tools like case discussion, case analysis, flipped classrooms, video interventions, problem-solving, in-class tests, tutorials, etc. In any case discussion or flipped classroom setup, the brighter students are encouraged to take over the class and play an important role in the teaching and learning process. Most core courses in three credits have two lectures and one tutorial class every week. Students are divided into smaller groups for the tutorial class. To improve the doubts and queries of weaker students institute held small group tutorial classes. The institute always suggests faculty members take revision classes to clear the concepts which were taught in the class with difficult problems to clear doubts.

To develop industry connections, It’s necessary to establish a relationship with fulfilling the requirements from both sides. An industry connection should be two-way traffic and it should be long-lasting. With this association definitely, the industry partners will be benefitted and students should take the advantage of this association in getting experience as much as possible.
There are some important and successful models in the industry which connect the industry with these programs like internships program for students, projects on consultancy, various research projects, case studies, and engagement in hosting and conducting industry events, conferences, workshops, and seminars, and in-practice course fulfillment with the industry partners.
Ques. What challenges did you face while inculcating this program into your curriculum?
The key requirements in any good Business Analytics program are Imultidisciplinary content. There are various good analytics programs like Science, Computer, Management, and Statistics that should blend with good analytics programs that are suggested by multidisciplinary content. As a university with expertise in computer science, management, and mathematics, we minimized this challenge by leveraging our interdisciplinary strengths. The industry interface for project-based learning is another challenge. In India, most of the faculties in college for the data analytics course are hired by experienced IT companies employee. So, these faculties are very valuable in enabling experience / project-based learning of analytics subjects among the students.
