RV University's school of law and integrated 5-year LL.B. program have been approved by the Bar Council of India.. and B.B.A. LL.B. programs. As the sixth school under RVU, the School of Law will begin offering degree programs in August 2023.

Mr. Justice B.N. Dr. Srikrishna, former chief justice of the Kerala High Court, and Prof. (Dr.) Chokalingam is a professor emeritus at the School of Law, renowned for their pioneering work in Indian criminology and victimology. Scholars on the faculty have received Fulbright, British Chevening, Erasmus Mundus, and Sir Ratan Tata postdoctoral fellowships, among other awards. Jindal Global Law School, NLSIU, WBNUJS, RGNUL, University of London, Emory University, University of Warwick, SOAS, Geneva Academy, and Central European University are among the prominent institutions. With an emphasis on experiential learning, students will participate in a dynamic learning environment that fosters critical thinking, research proficiency, and practical legal skills. 

Several programs are offered by RVU's School of Law which is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values necessary to excel in the legal field. There are various integrated programs like B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LLM and Ph.D. in which students can enrol under their name. The entrance exam for UG programmes is RVSAT and considers the CLAT/LSAT/CUET scores. RVU School of Law awards 75 merit scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% to deserving first-year students. 

RV University’s School of Learning has designed two joint programs. in partnership with Seattle University, USA. Students will be able to pursue the LL.M. pathway, a dual-degree program, among the opportunities under the first program. Students can benefit from an undergraduate law degree from RV University and an LL.M. Within five years, earn a degree from Seattle School of Law in their field of specialization. This is in the five-year integrated law program at RV University. LL.M. students will have the opportunity to pursue a second LL.M. degree from Seattle University through a second program. Seattle University will offer five students a 50% tuition scholarship. Students will be benefitted from two LL.M. degrees, from RV University and Seattle University at the end of two years

Over 50 university collaborations have been established with RVU in the USA, UK, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), People's Archive of Rural India (PARI), SOCHARA, Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), Human Rights Alert collaborated with over 50 nationals, HelpAge India, SICHREM, etc. There are a number of Commonwealth Human Rights Initiatives (CHRI) like Rural India (PARI), SOCHARA, Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), Human Rights Alert, HelpAge India, SICHREM, etc.

Prof. Y.S.R. Murthy was a civil servant and academic who worked in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for 12 years in various capacities and was the Director of Research. As a founding faculty member in 2009, he joined the Jindal Global Law School, and also between 2009 - 2020 he directed its Centre for Human Rights Studies. His contribution was also to a rapid rise in the global rankings. He was Vice President between 2018 and 2021 and served the country as an Executive Council Member of the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) for six years. The All India Law Teachers' Congress currently has him on its Executive Council. LexisNexis Butterworths has published Halsbury's Laws – Human Rights and the Human Rights Handbook. For several years he served as the editor of the NHRC‘s annual journal and the journal ISIL. Also, he served as an advisor to the All India Network of NGOs and Individuals Working with State and National Human Rights Institutions (AiNNI), as well as a member of the Civil Society Coalition Against Torture.

The University of Richmond has multiple research centers, including Centers for Human Rights Studies, Victimological Research and Victim Assistance, and the Centre for Democracy and Election Studies., the Center for Future of Things, the Center for Legal Aid and Community Engagement, the Center for Law, History, and Ideas, among others. They can participate in research and organize activities as part of these centers.
