- The college life is considerably good as the campus is in heart of the city which makes it easier for travel and accessible in emergency situations. Infrastructure can be improved, faculty teaching methods are satisfactory.
Dislikes
- Poor maintenance of college buildings and need for infrastructure maintenance, requires improvement of student life on campus.
Remarks :
Reason to choose this college : Time management is possible as my college is just 2 kms away from the place where I live. Exams to prepare: KCET/COMEDK. Cut off: 60,000 for civil engineering. 25,000 for CSE, AIML,EEE. Preparation: Practice NCERT maths and physics model question paper regularly. Aspects of my college: Good- Friendly environment, well ventilated classrooms, lifts for students Bad- Poor maintenance of infrastructure, lack of skilled staff, hygiene issues, student placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Civil engineering is a core branch and interests me in construction business, want to acquire knowledge on new technologies and construction methods and basic mathematical tools and professionalism required for the respective field. All the facilities have a BE degree atleast while majority of staff are PhD holders and well experienced. Overall thier teaching may differ from semester to semester and would hope for better pace at completing the syllabus. Staff can improve their teaching by providing some real life examples that are essential for the course knowledge. Every 3 months or less a semester ends consisting of 2 internal examination along with labs. Theory examinations will go on for a month and the exam paper will be set by the VTU university. Difficulty of paper is quite high. But manageable with regular practice and solving of model question papers.
Internships Opportunities :
There are various opportunities for internships from the college end as well as the companies tied up with the college. Companies offer a stipend ranging from ?15000-?20,000 based on the performance of the student Students can apply for specialised internship and the skills that are required for thier field.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for students to enter the placement round starts with the overall academics. A good resume with great academic performance where he/she has had no backlogs and completed projects and actively participated in extra curricular activities Expectations for higher cgpa of 8/10 atleast for better placements. A decent number of recruiters were seen in the AY22-23. Some of them are phone pe, Michelin pumps,acc cement, ultratech,satara, Accenture, Bosch, Boeing,we work. With an average annual package of 3LPA and the highest package awarded was 20LPA from phone pe. The recruitment process consists of 3 rounds the final round is the interview round. 70% of students get placed every year. My plan after degree is to compete in government examinations for official posts.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For students who are eligible for ST category: Annual tution fee for the 1st year would round up to ?41,100.( Depends on the course the student wishes to choose) same untill completion of course Followed by registation and skill lab of ?1,500 and ?10,000 respectively. Once registered into the college, the student must bear an extra fee of ?700-?1600( may change every year) for the lab records and test note books. General quota students: Annual fee ranges from ?1,50,000- ?3,00,00. Based on the course choosen by the student. Scholarship and other financial aids: Scholarship - Student can apply for it in STATE SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL (SSP) aided by the Karnataka government. No need of any test, students recieve the amount after every annual exams with no backlogs. Only eligible for SC/ST Students. Other financial aids- students(general quota) get a sum of ?10,000. As prize money from the college when a student completes a year with no backlogs.
Campus Life :
Very few cultural events take place, mostly in the month of October. We have an organized Library with many books that are helpful for students as well as the staff for their studies along with student journal and weekly business magazines. Amenities in classroom - projecter, fans, lights, sufficient amount of ventilation and spacious room with high quality benches. There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
