There was no specific factor that made me choose GCU, there were no group discussions or interview or any written tests at the time of my admission. I directly filled up thw admission form on thwir website, received a accepting letter within 2 days and that was all about it.
The course bachelor's in physiotherapy is itself is a very vast and difficult course and if not taught correctly can be a big downfall for the students. Here at GCU the faculty for physiotherapy is average at its best and there is zero practical exposure in the beginning years. As a medical student i expected hospital visits and practice in the initial years for building a good foundation for anatomy which was not provided. The teaching method is mediocre at its best, mostly the teacher brings out a ppt and just reads it out loud with minimum explanation. The faculty is well qualified but the method of teaching and approaching students can be improved alot in my opinion.
There are no internship opportunities directly provided for the students benefit. The student will have to apply by themselves after completing the last semester and the internship period is of over 6 months.
There are no direct placements from the university, there is a job fare conducted but not alot of opportunities for the students, most of the students will have to do things on their own after graduation.
The fee structure for BPT course is per semester is 57,300. The course begins in usually in the months july/august. A fee of ? 25,000 will be initially charged in case if you want to get your admission done, something like a safe deposit. And then the amount of ? 57,300 of the 1st semester will have to be paid as soon as the student joins the college officially. So the total tuition fee is ?55,000. Examination fee being ? 1,550 and the practical viva fee ?750. All total together is ?57,300 which is the total semester fee. This is the fee structure only for the BTR course, other departments fee may vary.
There are 2 important events that take place first is the freshers event mostly in August and gardenia in November. There are department wise sports events in cricket and many other sports. There are 2 libraries in the campus but at moment only one is available for the students. And the students are only allowed to use the books when they are in the library.
The hostel is the worst part of the campus, the rate for double sharing room is 60k, but the rooms are honestly horrible. The paint is coming off from the walls, i don't think any maintenance work has been done since before 2020 so there are cracks in thw walls as well. And on the first floors of in campus hostel there is rat infestation and many more. The cleaning staff rarely comes around and even if they do come to clean the rooms, they don't do it properly.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
