- The campus and the city beautiful, Chandigarh is a lovely place by itself.
- University Culture and Alumni Network. The university and the department both have a very strong alumni network.
Dislikes
- Faculty, are majorly involved in internal conflicts, and there is too much politics there between them.
- The dominance of Political parties in Campus elections, you will see around 1000 cars on campus during elections, doing nothing just making nonsense.
Remarks :
The only thing you need for admission is a JEE Rank, and you need to register via JAC Chandigarh for admission to the college. I took admission as I was a dropper and I planned to do an MBA right after my degree and that's why I picked 5-year program. This college was right in my budget, rank and career preference. Also, being in the heart of Panjab University, the social interactions and other opportunities are very high here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty here are mostly passed out from this college only, but all the professors know their jobs and they are masters in their respective subjects, but this doesn't stay true for the assistant professors, they are hired by their father's recommendations who was Chairperson of the department when he was hired. Guest faculties have good number in the college and they all are majorly hardworking. We have 3 exams per semester, 2 midterms and 1 end term. Each year-end terms are planned in the month of December and May, and these exams are pre-planned by the university way in advance.
Internships Opportunities :
I was in Acclime India, which was an off-campus internship. 20,000 was the stipend and I was working in the research team of the management consulting firm. My role was around research, and manufacturing companies' research part. I was mainly working in paper and auto mobile sector.
Placement Experience :
If you want to enter the core chemical job, this college offers you that. But if you are looking for the non-core jobs, you may try your luck off campus, But the plus point is the great alumni base which can help you to reach your dream destination. The maximum package last year was 14 lpa with 9 lpa in hand and in MBA branch it was 6 lpa only. 100% Placement of this college is just a myth, please don't fall in it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There will be a fee of about 1,50,000 per year for the MBA Program, it will be charged in 2 instalments first which will be about 71,000 and the rest in the 2nd instalment. Also, 3100 Rs per semester for exam fees 5400 per semester for the hostel and 910 security per semester. Apart from all this, mess will be separate, on average mess costs around 3,000 per month give or take.
Campus Life :
Cyanide is the annual cultural fest, organised in the month of Feb every year, you can expect Punjabi singers on campus, due to the highly politically active nature of the university and student elections, and prominent leaders also share the stage to show their dominance in the region. The university has a department library and one huge central library which only closes twice a year, both for cleaning only, rest holi, Diwali etc it's always open 24x7. There are clubs at department level of all kinds and university level clubs too. Sports is a major yes yes for Panjab University and student elections are really a attractive aspect of the university.
Hostel Facilities :
The quality of the food is good, but you can't eat the same gravy food each day which you will get in the hostel mess. Hostel only costs 5400 per semester, 910 for security and about 3000 per month including mess and canteen.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
