I received CNLU as per my counselling after receiving my rank in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) which is the sole mode of taking admission in CNLU. The cut off rank usually is AIR 1100 to 1300. To prepare for CLAT one must brush up their English and Quantitative skills while working on their General Knowledge by extensively reading a good newspaper (The Hindu for eg.) Then Students must prepare for Legal and Logical reasoning using internet resources or question banks from a good coaching institute. Last but not the least mock tests are very important. Pros: CNLU is a college which sits in the heart of the city. Anything of need is easily accessible. It has a nice campus and an amazing library. Cons: The faculty pool is on the average side. The large reservation criteria dulls the diversity in each batch.
I chose B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) as I wanted to study sociology and economics with law as these subjects come in handy for the understanding of law. The faculty pool is average, while some are extremely good a few of them are bad. However the VC is on a crusade to improve the faculty pool and it is in progress. Classes are equipped with smartclasses and teachers use it to instill the knowledge of the subject in the students. Exams are held twice a semester. One mid semester exam of 15 marks and one end semester exam of 60 marks. 20 marks are for a written project (which maybe a case comment, book review, movie review, legislation review, along with 1 mandatory research project) and the viva. 5 marks are given for attendance (with 95% getting 5, 90% getting 4, 85% getting 3, 80 getting 2 and 75 getting 1)
Internship breaks are provided at the end of every semester for a duration of 2 months. Students send out applications for interning at various firms and chambers. Internships are usually unpaid unless you work at a tier 1 chamber like Trilegal who pay you 16,000 Per month. A few other names also pay a stipend of 5000-10000 per month depending on the firm's policy. Interns are required to do research for the firm or the advocate under whom they are interning. In later stages they are also given the opportunity to draft various petitions and applications. Students also get callback internships and get placed in some places. Students usually intern at really good places such as SAM, CAM, Trilegal, JSA, PSL, Kocchar, SnP etc.
Placements have improved over the year. ICICI recruits students annually with a package of 17-18 L.P.A. JSA and LKS have also been associated with placing students from on campus. Every 5th year Student is eligible to sit for placements. Usually campus placements are low as most of the students opt for judiciary but the median package is 9-11 L.p.a. Students also go for Litigation as running internships in the Patna high court are easily available for CNLU students. A few students also go for higher studies overseas. I plan to pursue litigation post completion of my course.

Campus Life is vibrant. The campus is always abuzz with various events. We have various committees - Debating Committee, Cultural Committee, Sports committee, Internship and Placement Committee, Eco Club etc along with research centres like the Centre for Law and Economics, Centre for ADR, Centre for Corporate Laws etc. The Parliamentary Debate, National Mediation Competition and CCI Moot are annual events along with Bi Annual legal aid fest Vidhikta and a cultural fest Jeevatva. The MCC also organises an NHRC moot and a Cyber moot. Various sports events like cricket, basketball, soccer, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, chess and volleyball keep happening every sem. Library has 20,000+ books and steady online resources are available for the students (SCC, Manupatra, Live Law, Kluwers Arbitration etc) Classes are equipped with state of the art facilities and the facility of attending classes online is available in case of medical issues.
Hostels are available in single/double room options. Rooms are spacious and have a lot of natural light. You get a cupboard, desk, chair and a cot in the room and two tubelights with a fan. The hostel is old and the rooms are not airtight. The facility to install AC/cooler at your own expense is available at a premium rate. The hostels have no restrictions per se in terms of appliances you can use such as iron or induction and have a good number of shared washroom which are cleaned frequently. Rooms are also cleaned once a day. Both girls and boys have a seperate hostel with a separate mess. Mess menu is decided by the students and includes healthy items. The quality is usually average but the items used are branded and have a good quality. Applying for the hostel room involves selecting the option for hostel in the registration process or submitting an application to the Warden.
In my clg placemant offer upon your grades or good internship like teir one or teir 2 but most of the olacement are joined by your self and there is nothing to say. If u have good internship, so u defenetely for clg oalcement.
Almost 50 to 60 percent students got placed up to their final examination and their average package is 4.5 LPA. The college offers internships also.some internships are paid and some are unpaid of them.
Placements for Mechatronics and Automation are average. Mostly service based and few automation or manufacturing companies visit the campus. Eligibility for placements is usually 60% aggregate with no backlogs. Some recruiters offer roles like graduate trainee, automation trainee and quality roles. Core branch offers are limited. Highest and average package is moderate and depends on company and role. Around 80% students get placed through campus. After completing my degree, I plan to improve my skills, do certifications and try for off-campus jobs in core automation field or go for higher studies.
faculty elected through Bihar government exam. their teacher method is really poor. one mid term exam including of attendance mark and project marks and one external exam 70 marks.exam level is not much difficult.
There are placement strike 99% so I will admission this college for build up my career there are placement are highest in bihar. There are placement are very easy process. Placements are different companies like wipro infosis tcs icici bank etc.

In BCA department placement are very good for students . Many companies like TCS , mahindra , wipro , and many local companies come in our campus for placement cell for students . Average package is around 4 lacs and maximum package is around 10 lacs in BCA department.
no placements in core and tech companies. only sales companies visit which gives a package of around 4 lpa. few civil branch companies also visit and offer roles to 4-5 students.no internships are provided ,students have to search it on their own.
The course curriculum is quite outdated. 75% attendance is mandatory to give exams. Faculties are overall good and supportive in ECE branch. Every faculty is well qualified, most of them are phd degree holders or pursuing PhD from a reputed institute like IIT,NITs. End semester Exams occur every 5-6 months. And mid term is held between the semesters. ( One mid term each semester).Exams are quite difficult as it is not an autonomous University.End semester copy checking is not done properly. Improper markings are given to few students.
The placement of collage is good as compare to other private collage in Bihar. The year student will appear for placement and sit. So many recruiter are visited our collage like TCS, Wipro , Accenture , Bajaj , Tech Mahindra , and Americana. Near about 500 offer and students get multiple jobs whose percentage is 30. The highest package is 11 lakh as Associate engineer in Americana. The average is 3.6 lakh for data analyst. Near about 80 student get placed in campus of our collage. I want continue my study and complete my master from NIT.
