- The college campus is sufficiently spacious for students to enjoy their University life. The college is spread accross 18 acres with space for play ground and other indor sports.
- The college has good infrastructure with state of art classrooms having smart classes options.
- The average fee is quite lower compared to any top National Law University while providing same level of academic curriculum.
Dislikes
- The college needs to improve its placement drives and revamp its placement committee.
- The college needs better faculty to incorporate contemporary teaching methods that align with modern requirements.
- Less of diversity in the college campus leading to less diverse opinions.
Remarks :
The major factors that made me choose this college was my preference when I filled my CLAT registration. Students who want Admision into any National law University must attempt the annual Common law Admision test or CLAT. Around 1 Lakh students attempt CLAT. Once a student obtains rank within the cut off he or she will be eligible for the counselling over three rounds of college allotment. Then over the 3 rounds of counselling the student will be alloted a college in accordance with his / her rank and category. Once clat exam is cleared a student need not face any GD or interview rather the counselling process begins directly. Students can choose their preferences among the 23 different National Law Universities in India. There is a factor of domicile that comes into play as each NLU is majorly funded by the state government hence the state government provides reservation based on domicile of students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academics at Chanakya National Law University is at par with the best legal education available in the country at present. The academic curriculum is contemporary in accordance to the needs of conventional criminal laws and also the modern corporate and Intellectual property laws along with the essential Constitutional Law. The faculties at Chanakya National Law University are decent enought to teach the course subjects while the college is rapidly improving it's faculties by hiring experienced faculties owing to the initiative of the new Vice- Chancellor Shri Faizan Mustafa. Hence the curriculum course and academics at Chanakya National Law University is at par with the best legal education in the country.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have opted for many internships as have other students. A students is expected to do an internship at every semester break which is of 2 months. Therefore one can choose to do an internship for one month or both the month according to their future goals and aims. Many students go to High Courts, District Courts, Law firms and Banks for gaining valuable internship experience. The students are to note down their experience or learning at the place of internship in an internship diary which is to be submitted to the college periodically for attestation. The college also assists students in availing important internship opportunities with major law firms and corporate companies.
Placement Experience :
Chanakya National Law University has a budding and amaru placement committee which functions at bare minimum level. The highest number of placements as of now is around 16 placement per year, which is growing consistently and is projected to grow rapidly in the coming years owing to the sincere and dynamic efforts of the new Vice Chancellor Faizan Mustafa who was formerly the VC of NALSAR. The highest package was of Rs 18,00,000 P.A which is given by ICICI bank to 2 students every year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Mt academics session is between the year 2020-2025. My first year fee was Rs 1,98,000 The second year fee was Rs 2,00,000 The third year fee was around Rs 2,03,000 The fourth year fee was around Rs 2,07,000 The final or fifth year fee was around Rs 2,10,000. The academic regulations according to the Cnlu Act 2006 provides for a fee increment of 5% annually hence the fee shall be increased as such. The batch of 2024-2029 had a average fee of around Rs 2,37,000 which when compared with any National Law University is still less. There is usually two type sof scholarships that students avail 1. DRCC state scholarship which is around 1,50,000 annually it's available to those who's parents have annual remuneration of less then Rs 4 lakhs 2. PMS central government scholarship scheme which usually provides around Rs 2 lakhs annually to students who's parents earn below 8 Lakh P.A. The PMS scholarship must be availed right from the 1st year only then it will be awarded till the 5th year.
Campus Life :
The campus is spacious enough for the student population residing and studying at Chanakya National Law University. The university is spread over 18 acres and has great infrastructure with a state of the art classrooms with all smart facilities. The recent inauguration of an auditorium and Multi purpose building only takes it to a notch above. In comparison to major National Law University in the country cnlu also boasts decent social campus life. There are cafe's and eateries inside the university campus and also outside the campus. There are not much clubs in the city of Patna but there are more then enough Cafe's where students can spend quality recreational time. Th campus is situated in a decently populated location which is neither too crowded nor too scattered. The campus has a safe environment around it with a police station just one building adjacent to the college campus. Also there is NIFT Patna campus adjacent to Chanakya National Law University.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I have opted for a hostel room as I'm from outside state. The hostel mess charges a annual fee which is included in the total annual fee itself. The Hostel mess provides decent food which is much better then food at major National Law Universities. The hostel food has variety, non veg is provided four days a week while simultaneously along with veg food which are served at different counters thereby never leading to long queues.To apply for the hostel rooms students can fill out the form while completing the Admision process itself. One can apply for single rooms from 2nd year subject to availability of single rooms. Otherwise they will be alloted double room with another student. Students can choose to forfeit hostel room for outside accomodation at any time by informing the college beforehand.

Placements for Mechatronics and Automation are average. Mostly service based and few automation or manufacturing companies visit the campus. Eligibility for placements is usually 60% aggregate with no backlogs. Some recruiters offer roles like graduate trainee, automation trainee and quality roles. Core branch offers are limited. Highest and average package is moderate and depends on company and role. Around 80% students get placed through campus. After completing my degree, I plan to improve my skills, do certifications and try for off-campus jobs in core automation field or go for higher studies.

faculty elected through Bihar government exam. their teacher method is really poor. one mid term exam including of attendance mark and project marks and one external exam 70 marks.exam level is not much difficult.

In BCA department placement are very good for students . Many companies like TCS , mahindra , wipro , and many local companies come in our campus for placement cell for students . Average package is around 4 lacs and maximum package is around 10 lacs in BCA department.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite outdated. 75% attendance is mandatory to give exams. Faculties are overall good and supportive in ECE branch. Every faculty is well qualified,most of them are phd degree holders or pursuing PhD from a reputed institute like IIT,NITs. End semester Exams occur every 5-6 months.And mid term is held between the semesters. ( One mid term each semester).Exams are quite difficult as it is not an autonomous University.End semester copy checking is not done properly. Improper markings are given to few students.

The placement of collage is good as compare to other private collage in Bihar. The year student will appear for placement and sit. So many recruiter are visited our collage like TCS, Wipro , Accenture , Bajaj , Tech Mahindra , and Americana. Near about 500 offer and students get multiple jobs whose percentage is 30. The highest package is 11 lakh as Associate engineer in Americana. The average is 3.6 lakh for data analyst. Near about 80 student get placed in campus of our collage. I want continue my study and complete my master from NIT.
