Likes
- Classes and teachers are great. The labs are amazing. The super computer lab is very useful.
- The extra curricular activities are great. The tests and sports activities are great. The department clubs are also amazing
Dislikes
- The hostel rules are different for boys and girls. Boys don't require special permission to leave the hostel, but any girl student has to call their parent before leaving. I understand this is for our own safety, but don't this rule go both ways?
- Sometimes the percentage of the total semester gets mostly divided into minors assignments and quizzes ,the end semester exam has very few percentage. I find this quite frustrating sometimes
Remarks :
I wanted to choose a from Hyderabad. I was told that the placements are great here. Tech Mahindra's connection with this University was a major factor that made me choose this college. I was selected mainly on the basis of my 12 th marks. As I got above 95% there was no interview for me. But the students below 95% had to go through an interview with basic questions. I have very little idea how the interview works, but I was told it was basic with common questions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Artificial intelligence was an interest of mine. I was told it was one of the few courses in India which was great in this field. The faculty are highly qualified and their teaching techniques are great. But there were always a few exceptions. The labs were great. In lab assignments were challenging. Grades(CGPA) are given per semester. Each semester has nearly 20 to 35 credits. Each semester we have 2 minors and an end semester examination. The percentage of grade of the minor depends on the instructor. The difficulty level is medium.
Internships Opportunities :
I did not opt for any internship, but I heard from my friends that the opportunities are great. Many students are getting placed in the same companies they are doing their internship from. Most internships have stipend 10K to 30K. Oracle had 50 K I think.
Placement Experience :
The placements are pretty great. The placement department is so much active and always encouraging. They are really helpful. The eligibility criteria is mostly above 7.0 CGPA. But 6.5 also works in a few cases. Many companies came with offers this year. Few of my friends have got great packages in Oracle and Paypal. I think the highest package is 36 lakhs per annum till now. There are still a lot more to go. I think almost 80 percent students will be placed by the end. Average package would be 9 to 10 laks per annum. I want to pursue MBA after graduation so I have no plans in sitting for placements this year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fee is 650000, We have to pay the fee per semester 325000. 650000 is divided into tuition fee and hostel fee, Tuition fee 450000 per year, Hostel fee 200000 per year. I think the fee for NRI students is nearly 750000 per year.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is pretty decent. There is an annual fest which is usually conducted in the month of May. Other than that there are many events like Tarang( Traditional event) usually in the month of October. The library is pretty huge. You can find almost any book from any genre. The Lecture halls are huge accomodating nearly 300 students. The Tutorial class rooms accomodate mostly 120 students. There are many sports teams. We have a FIFA certified football ground on the campus. We regularly have competitions with the neighbouring colleges. There are many clubs in the university. Math club, Dance club, Sustainability club, Chess club, Music club etc. Each has their own website and social media groups.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is pretty decent. We have decent rooms with 2 person per room. The food quality is great. The menu is diverse. They accomodate all the cuisines. Jain food is also provided seperately. The mess staff is polite and accomodating. There is no specific registration process. It goes in the package of 650000. We are given hostel room of their choose. We don't have the liberty of choosing our preference initially. But we can always interchange later.

However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

One good thing is that placements aren't treated as something that only matters in the final year. From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. The college also shares internship opportunities and guides students through the application process. There are resume reviews, mock interviews, and career sessions that help us understand what companies expect. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
A great place to meet like minded people
Course Curriculum Overview :
One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
