- the only thing i like about this college is, it has a beach just opposite to the main gate.
- the second good thing about the college is attendance criteria has been reduced to 60%
Dislikes
- college does not have good roads, no good classrooms, no proper basic infrastructure
- there is no network connectivity through out the college
Remarks :
I got admission to this college through the JEE exam, and through CSAB counseling, this college does not at all meet my expectations, no good infrastructure, no qualified faculties, if a student is from the general category he has to score above 90%ile to get a good branch in this college, but if from sc/st it is very easy, this college provides special benefits to students from the Puducherry region, who get admitted here by the mode of CENTAC.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I've opted for civil engineering because of my interests, the qualification of the faculty here will be shown as a Ph.D. and a few more, the exams here are conducted every 4 months and the difficulty level was quite manageable. the fee structure for the general category is 162000 and 75000 for a hostel, but for sc/st the fees are lessened. the scholarships provided in this college are given only to Puducherry region people and not to other state students.
Internships Opportunities :
the college does not provide any good internships, students go out of the city to get internships by paying money. I'm currently in first year of my Btech so I do not have more knowledge about the internships being provided.
Placement Experience :
there is a placement and training center in this college that trains the final-year students to get placed. but the reality is no well-reputed companies come here to hire, the highest package offered was 10LPA and the average package is around 4LPA. and very few students get placed. my plan after getting the degree is to go for UPSC preparation. not depending upon the on-campus placements.
Campus Life :
life at this college is miserable. no good infrastructure, no good playground no equipment to play, no facilities provided to go further in sports, there are a few clubs but are limited to WhatsApp groups, there is a library containing 100000 books, but no good books. the hostel is not appreciable, throughout campus there is no mobile network, only in hostel rooms we have been provided a Wi-Fi network facility but most of the time even that doesn't provide good network connectivity.

Internship is done after 4.5 years of mbbs course Internship is must for all the mbbs students which if not done can cost a penalty of ?1 crore . About 130 students get into internship every year . It is done for a year after which students give their pg exam and choose a different college for further specialisation

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .

Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
