Joined through KCET (a state entrance test). scored 30000 rank, got seat in AIML in the second round. Academically a good college, placement is on border like around 40-50% students get placed. No Interview since it was an entrance test.
I wanted to any one of the computer science related stream but didn't get rank enough to get to CSE or ISE so joined AIML. Teachers are well qualified and method obviously depends on teacher to teacher but majority use ppt presentations. A year has 2 semesters, each semester 3 internals 2 lab internals one lab external and a final SEE external examination. Its easy to moderate depending on the subject
I don't think there is any eligibility criteria for placements except for the very obvious get a minimum of 5 CGPA. Criteria's are put by companies that come by. I am completed my 2nd year and as far as i have heard 2-3 companies have arrived for which 4th and 3rd years can apply. 1 core company arrived recently (Johnson controls) and few software based companies also arrived They offer like 5-6 LPA Engineers don't have a plan, we are the plan.
Fee structure is more or less the same. The discussed fees during the starting year of the college continues till 3rd year. on the 4th year there is major project fees included. They charge an additional skill lab fees of 15000 which every engineering college does. I joined through KCET under 2AR category. (OBC Rural) Students joining through management quota have somewhat like 2 lakh fees. (not sure of the actual fees) They do have Scholarship program but with a lot of conditions, you have to ask them for clarification
Two fests are conducted every year, a technical fest called VERTECHX and a cultural fest called SWAYAM. Fests are boring unless you are part of a club. (its still boring) We have a big library with good facilities but some students do not use it at all. I personally use the books a day before exam and the rest of the time its used as a washroom (that is the closest washroom near grounds) We have a basketball court and a small ground. (half acres) not of much use. there are a lot of cultural clubs and technical clubs for which students definitely run by themselves (1st years)
I stay in a PG about 200 meters to the college. There are a lot of PG nearby including budget friendly to luxurious GENTS LADIES and CO-LIVE PG's you can also choose to stay in flat or rent a single RK or BHK rooms
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
